TowerSpotter
Not sure if this one ever died... It just seems like its been in the planning stages.
Subdude
Thats the same plot of land that was for the "West Houston Master Plan." Could it be the same plan? http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/28828-west-houston-master-plan/ Merged the topics to save everyone a click. cloud713
that would be awesome if this is the West Houston Master Plan. obviously the same property.. i just kind of assumed the WHMP was more of a fantasy proposal.
arche_757
An interesting plan, but highly conceptual. If this comes to fruition this part of Uptown will be really quite dense in a few years when Uptown Park is built out. Dense with a lot of wealth residing there too!
JJxvi
Its hard for me to see how those single family communities nestled right up to Uptown Park, 4 Oaks Place, and Riverway are going to successfully argue that highrises and big commercial developments are a problem for them.
Urbannizer
This large parcel of land is back on the planning commission agenda. SubdivisionPlatPDF_BG3046.pdf
WestUdweller
Looking for any sort of update on this land or The Tanglewood Medical along post oak lane if someone has a nugget. The area along Post Oak Lane next to the Wynden has been in a state of construction/disrepair for a few years now. Sidewalks all messed up, dirt and mud everywhere, half put up construction fences. Trying to figure out what is going on there.
WestUdweller
There is a new traffic signal being installed at the intersection of South Post Oak Lane and Longmont. 3 1
WestUdweller
Lighting, sidewalks, streets, etc are just about done. There has been an additional lane added to the Northside. Suppose it is for turning in and out of. Any chirps of what exactly is about to happen in this area?
j_cuevas713
I honestly thought they were just rebuilding this part of the road to Woodway with new sidewalks. BUT if this is part of the mixed use development, then I'm extremely excited about this!

Popular Post Urbannizer
Listed as an active project on Munoz + Albin’s website. Exact location unknown but the second image suggests Uptown. https://munozalbin.com/project/confidential-mixed-use-towers/ https://www.mcnair.com/
Nate_56
Looks like it's on the east side of S Post Oak and Longmont? Edited August 1, 2023 by Nate_56

Feels like there are so many things that have been proposed for this spot or right nearby (next door at the Wynden and adjacent behind the Granduca) and nothing ever gets built.

hindesky
I think they can only do one project at a time and it's the Remi phase I and II right now.

arche_757
A further look reveals what appears to be some topographical relief. We all know Houston has none.

Highrise Tower
I'm confused with this development. Ross mentioned the owner of the 14 (or 16) acres is the Blaffer family, Hudson Bros. Real Estate. How does this tie in with the McNair Interests' 18 story residential tower across the street? Is the McNair tower apart of the 16-acre mixed-use development? Perhaps the above renderings are just in the wrong place and is not affiliated with the 16-acre development. Both properties are fenced with a new-ish fence that looks the same. I'd say they are connected somehow. Site visit today. The area, or curve, is all wooded area. Cool, old ranch house sitting in the back of the property. Might actually be on Tillbury Drive?
