phillip_white
Is that crushed granite or pavers? Crushed granite just ends up making a mess. What's the purpose of the giant sandbox?
Howard Huge
http://www.americantheatre.org/2015/11/04/a-theatre-building-renaissance-in-houston/ Beautiful! The graffiti in the background makes it look more urban.

brian0123
My wife just took our daughter to a show here last weekend and loved the venue. There is a nice courtyard for hanging out, the sound system was awesome, and the venue was high quality. You can even pay $5 to park in the garage across the street for the apartments currently under construction.
j_cuevas713
http://www.americantheatre.org/2015/11/04/a-theatre-building-renaissance-in-houston/ Easily the most urban city in TX. Such an awesome shot.
dml423
Am I the only person who gets a bit annoyed at the 3 ft sidewalks that continue to be built in midtown? Two people can barely walk shoulder to shoulder without having to step on the grass, let alone if someone is biking or something. Is there really that much of a cost savings putting in grass? I figured the cost savings of not having someone mow the grass every 1-2 wks would compensate for the additional cement cost.
jmitch94
^I agree, but not having those trees would have been worse. I guess they could have made it wider toward the building.
dml423
^ I definitely like the trees but I would have done something like the following:

j_cuevas713
Well a lot of the sidewalks are getting redone in Midtown. I think a few of these 3 foot sidewalks have nothing to do with the developer but more to do with the Midtown Redevelopment Authority. They started work on Holman, which was in dire need of new sidewalks.
