I think they need to open it up a bit. I'd like to see the sidewalk lowered to street level instead of this weird ramp going up. Plus I think they should widen the sidewalk to the curb, This would go a long way in making the building feel more inviting and walkable. The pedestrian realm is much nicer based off the renderings. The sidewalk is a bit narrow, but it was built under the old rules.  The new building will have to have wider sidewalks.  Other than that the pedestrian realm at Parc Binz I is pretty ideal.  Removing the landscape barrier would make the sidewalk feel less safe (and less shaded) and therefore , less pedestrian friendly. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yeah for sure. It's going to be interesting to see the old rules vs the new rules. That's why I think the old pedestrian realm needs some improvement. I'm not against the trees, you can still place grates around those.
