Earlier this week, Houston Chronicle's paywall-free site Chron reported on The Thompson / Thompson Houston's forthcoming coffee shop.

Named Maven / Maven Coffee Co., the coffee shop and cafe will be located in the lobby of the hotel. It's one of several food and beverage options opening in the hotel. The coffee shop is from Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. and Juan Carlos Martinez de Aldecoa (Eximus Coffee).

Located in The Allen mixed-use development, Maven aims to open in November (at least that's what's indicated on Maven's website and social media).

Building permits lists the address for Maven as 1711 Allen Parkway Floor 1. However, the address on Thompson Houston's website lists 1701 Allen Parkway.

Earlier this week, CultureMap revealed the names of two forthcoming, chef-driven dining concepts at Thompson Hotel / Thompson Houston. One is for the French brasserie restaurant. The other is for the supper club.

Chardon is the name of the hotel's French brasserie restaurant. It's described as a "modern twist on the classic French bistro." As for the supper club, it's called Buck 40 / Buck 40 Supper Club. Billed as "a dynamic and social dining experience infused with live entertainment," the restaurant aims to open next summer. Chardon, on the other hand, anticipates a spring debut.

A few weeks ago, Thompson Hotel announced the name of its rooftop lounge and restaurant: Sol 7. Along with Sol 7, Chardon and Buck 40 will fall under the management of TableOne Hospitality.  The hospitality group is "a spinoff of the acclaimed Mina Group."

All three restaurants will be located at 1711 Allen Parkway, according the address on city building permits. However, the address provided by TableOne Hospitality lists 1717 Allen Parkway.

More from CultureMap below:

  • The hotel has partnered with TableOne Hospitality to operate all food and beverage operations...

  • All three restaurants will be led by executive chef Alexandre Viriot...

  • Buck 40 will be a more elevated supper club grounded in classic American cuisine. The fine dining restaurant will feature both tableside and experiential service touches as well as nightly live music from a stage located at the central bar.

There are no websites for Chardon or Buck 40 / Buck 40 Supper Club presently. The same goes for social media. However, web domains were recently registered for both. Also, the restaurants have dedicated pages on TableOne Hospitality's website.

Chardon is a French brasserie restaurant. Buck 40 is an "elevated supper club." Both are dining concepts opening next year at Thompson Hotel / Thompson Houston.

According to building permits, the address for the restaurants is 1711 Allen Parkway. However, 1717 Allen Parkway is the address on TableOne Hospitality's website.

Below is an interior rendering of Toca Madera's forthcoming Houston location. It was included in a Chron.com article last month about new restaurants opening soon.

Toca Madera is a contemporary Mexican steakhouse from The Madera Group and Noble 33. It is opening on the ground level of the Allen Lifestyle Pavilion (or The Pavilion at The Allen). The restaurant's address is 1755 Allen Parkway, Suite 101.

The architectural barriers project filing for the Thompson Hotel / Thompson Houston Bistro likely pertains to Chardon. It is the French brasserie from TableOne Hospitality.

According to TableOne Hospitality's website, Chardon aims to open spring 2024.
