The 172-room Thompson, owned by Hyatt Hotels Corp., opened in February in the 35-story Allen building along Allen Parkway near Gillette. The hotel, on 12 floors of the tower, includes a spa and more than 17,000 square feet for events and meetings, according to its website and a news release. It's a French bistro that will be located on the first floor of Thompson Hotel / Thompson Houston in The Allen mixed-use development.
