Not to nitpick, but this sort of thing isn't a tit-for-tat proposition. Because one station gets another building, another won't just up and decide to do the same.

It was widely reported that this was influenced primarily by the former location of the station on Allen Parkway. From what I understand - after Buffalo Bayou overflowed during Allison, there were discussions about installing flood gates of some sort at the site, but their corporate parent at the time (Belo) didn't go along with that. When Harvey flooded the building out again, their current owner (TEGNA) sought other space due to the issues with the site.

As for KRIV, I don't see them moving anywhere. They have a fair amount of room even today, and the facility is only 20 years old or so.

I'm assuming CW 39 is staying put in their current location ?

I live in the hope that Innes's toxic personality and reputation will catch up with him sooner than later, and that station owners will come to their senses and realize that he's more trouble than he's worth.

We're going to find out soon enough.

There is also marijuana and other drugs problem existing at schools. Those drugs are really popular among young people and even small kids. I think we are to do something, or at least, be more attentive to other children problems. Student safety should be school priority #1. The local authorities have to create more rehab centers, for example, like this one https://addictionresource.com/drug-rehab/men-only/ It could become a solution.

    YIKES! It's that bad ?

  4. Biden will be the Dem nominee for POTUS in 2020.

Trump wins reelection very easily on November 3rd.

DNC won't get away with it this time.  This time, the Bernie camp knows it is coming and is prepared.  The Bernie team knew that the Iowa caucus was going to be a cluster and had monitors in place at every location.  When the app crashed, the Bernie team released their internal results to let the DNC know that they weren't going to be able to get away with anything.  The DNC obviously tried to fire back by sending out the results in a way that would grab Pete the Rat a headline to keep him from being totally embarrassed over his "victorious" line.  But Bernie won.

Now, Bernie has a huge advantage on the ground in NH as Pete the Rat put all his chips on Iowa and has very little presence in NH.  The big question will be whether Warren will be the tool for the establishment or give in and throw her support to Bernie in exchange for a VP nod or cabinet position.  I think it will become clear that the current DNC leadership's days are numbered and everyone will gradually start lining up to be on team Bernie.

You do realize America will NEVER vote for a terrorist as POTUS.

Plus that terrorist is 79 years old & too uppity. He is also a national security threat that must be exterminated altogether!

I’m sticking  to channel 13 breaking news when other channels showing winnings on sports/ also channel 11 has a lot of people talking at the same time giggling and a laughing and giggling

The laughing & giggling is annoying at CBS 11 KHOU-TV Houston.

What about the Weekday Morning crew at Fox 26 KRIV-TV Houston ?

I, too, have chosen not to watch the H Town Rush program.  I was out of the city for quite a while and horrified to find what happened to the morning program that I had watched every weekday morning since moving to Houston in 2012.  The show now feels more like a reality type show, which I don’t watch, either,  than an informative news program.  I am watching KPRC Channel 2 these days and switch back to watch the CBS morning news at seven A. M.

It seems you're not the only one who's NOT impressed!

  7. It's been 16 days & nobody hasn't seen or heard from Ch. 13 KTRK-TV Houston Weekday Morning Anchor Samica Knight, who hasn't been on the air in weeks, nor has she posted to her Social Media accounts since January 7th.

According to Mike McGuff of mikemcguff.com, he also hadn't heard anything regarding Knight's whereabouts. McGuff also mentioned several Ch. 13 viewers had been emailing him, hitting him up with questions from those concerned about Knight's whereabouts. From what I can tell, Brhe Berry & Mayra Moreno had been filing-in for Knight on the weekday morning newscasts lately. This isn't the first time Knight has been missing from the Ch. 13 airwaves. In 2018, McGuff mentioned that Knight had left some clues on her Social Media accounts to let people know she was experiencing medical issues.

Bring Lisa Paul and Ron back. Hire Darby back. Management is making big mistakes.  You are losing me as a viewer. I tuned in to new group and tuned out. Too bad because you were my go to coverage. I am Latina and enjoyed the diversity of inclusion of someone that looks like me on your coverage. One more point I like to see anchors that are older not younger. They also look like me.

Brandi Smith is now the Saturday Morning Weekend Anchor.

BTW what's happening with Gerald Treece, another one of my long time favorites? In recent years I would often tune in just to see his segment (I admit it's been a few months since I've done that. )

He may have to start working Sundays since I don't think there's time for a feature like his on a half hour show.

Big question is who's next to leave CBS 11 KHOU-TV Houston ?

    A.) Chita Craft

    B.) Rekha Muddaraj

    C.) The Field

I have long wished for another newsmagazine show like the one Steve Smith did years ago. I cannot recall the title, or if it was Sat. or Sun. morning.

If memory serves, they did some longer stories on various topics that were original segments, and not just repeats from previous regular news shows. Must have taken some effort to put together. Ray Miller had a segment chatting with Steve, and then playing a video,  and I believe these were new work (probably could not have gotten permission from KPRC to play Eyes of Texas footage). Anyone else remember this show?

IMO the news shows that KHOU now is doing wknd morns are just going to get completely lost in the shuffle and have no chance of building an audience. Placeholders but holding for what?

Looks like Lisa Hernandez has officially left CBS 11 KHOU-TV Houston for good.

  11. Unless you're living under a rock or a glacier, Sports Radio 610 (KILT-AM Houston) announced they're doing a "Texans Takeover". The station will be doing live & local programming 24 HRS a day, 7 days a week, for as long as the Houston Texans are in the 2019 NFL Playoffs.

Thoughts on what Sports Radio 610 is doing ?

    A.) Love It

    B.) Hate It

    C.) Too Soon to tell
