They also moved "In The Heat of the Night" to the weekends.

"Walker, Texas Ranger" was moved up to weekday mornings 8:00 AM & 9:00 AM

When I was growing up, we didn't many cable stations

Because I looked at some news clips of KTRK 13 and Fox 26 and some photos from the 1970s and early 80s, noticing it wasn't even built yet until later.

My money is on the Dome being TORN DOWN once voters overwhelmingly reject this so-called tax hike in order to "save the Dome".

Considering that the victim was a black student and the suspects were Latino, it's likely the older, more affluent whites will leave Spring ISD and head towards either Katy ISD or somewhere like Waller ISD.

ChannelTwoNews, I stumbled upon this video on Rendezvous Houston concert news clips package and discovered that Shara Fryer was doing the 6pm newscasts with Dave Ward for KTRK 13 in 1986 here:

So I assume that Fryer began doing 6pm weekday newscasts in 1986 or earlier in 1985

Highway 6, speaking of Houston sightings, isn't KTRK's Sonia Azad Middle Eastern or Latina ?

Porchman, it appears Sibilia Vargas has left Fox 26 and heading back to Los Angeles to be working at KCBS, the CBS affiliate in that area. I wonder if she ever intended to end her career in Houston because ever since Linda Cheek-Heinrich retired in 2002, the co-anchor spot in the mornings are cursed:

1. Taslin Alfonso (2002-2005): co-anchored the mornings with Jose Grinan and was domoted to the 12 Noon newscasts once Jan Jeffcoat took the morning slot and Taslin eventually went back to New Orleans, her hometown to work at the NBC affiliate WSDU.

2. Jan Jeffcoat (2004-2007): bailed on Houston and never looked back, she's currently at WFLD-TV Fox 32 in Chicago.

3. Sibilia Vargas (2007-2010): lasted only 3 years and went back to LA.

Okie Eric, the Kennedy mini-series starring Martin Sheen and Blair Brown filmed the Dallas sequence in Richmond, Virginia:
