  1. That's a great idea! I will ask about that, UtterlyUrban...
  2. In the words of SWTSIG, "They would be insolvent in 6 months if they allowed that"
  3. The Axelrad is gonna be amazing, a true catalyst for this area. And it's brought to you by a few fellow HAIFERS so be sure to check us out!
  4. I've been saying it all along, the window washers, street sweepers, janitors, security guards and hospitality workers who all keep our downtown serviced, would love the chance to get to live close to downtown, especially the ones who don't have cars and have to rely on Metro buses to get to work from far away neighborhoods. Now they too can just hop on a train and bam, easy day. Good job, guys.
  5. I think Ive asled this before, but will this top out taller than Calpine Center? I really hope it does.
  6. Ahh Cloud, if only us pro transit HAIFERS designed Houstons rail lines. We would have a system that rivals the alpha cities of the world.Oh and I'll beat the snarky anti-rail posters to the punch and say that we would would also bankrupt the city, the state, put thousands of companies out of business and kill countless citizens as well.
  7. Campo already said he's not building it.He said they will "revisit the idea a few years from now, see how the economy is doing."
  8. Marlon with the Midtown management district said they all but begged Camden to swap tracts with them over and over and let them build the park on the north end of the block, but Campo flat out refused. No explanation as to why.
  9. On a positive note, the entire pavilions is not inward facing anymore! Yay!
  10. It's not terrible, I guess.Their mistake was trying to make it match with the rest of the pavilions.
  11. Not talking about pressure busting windows in a hurricane, I'm talking about the flying projectile debris. As Ron White once put it, "It's not THAT the wind is blowing, it's WHAT the wind is blowing."
  12. Where do you think all these houston development "journalists" get all their scoops from?Hell, most of em owe 90% of their headlines to ol' Urbannizer.
  13. Yeah, especially with that pool right?I mean, I remember every time we've had a major hurricane downtown, the first thing to go was all the glass windows in the buildings. Well, that pool must be made out of some kind of 12 inch thick gorilla glass or something. Edit: Maybe it's this metallic glass thats stronger than steel http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=toughest+glass+in+the+world&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCwQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.technologyreview.com%2Fnews%2F422345%2Fglass-thats-stronger-than-steel%2F&ei=vvhdVdvsGoHBsQWnoYDQDQ&usg=AFQjCNGZeVpyyzLJHieX_RtnfSuv6Jm_FQ&sig2=dTbefeXXxX8-c_ni0coL-Q
