  1. Does anyone know whats to become of the Antique store across the street? Is that place even open?? I never see anyone in there, ever. Those storefronts are prime retail space though, when Mid Main is complete and all the retail moves in this area could be amazing if you had retail on BOTH sides of Main street and not just the Natachees/Continental Club side.
  2. It is brick Marc! Zoom in to the scaffolding in front of the center blue column!
  3. I know! Imagine it happening so fast that the people in the pool get washed out with the water! That would give a whole new meaning to the "cannonball".
  4. That clock is digital, I don't care what anybody says.
  5. See, Midtown is building the garage, not Camden. Or am I reading this wrong?
  6. No, you heard right, the Suns were the last team to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win a series. The 95 Rockets were the last ROCKETS team to do it, which is insane, since only nine teams in history have ever pulled that off, two of them Rockets teams!
  7. Nope, it's got a hand that points to the numbers.Jesus, people will argue about ANYTHING on the internet. The clock on top of the building is digital! Let it go!
  8. I understand that, but "digital" clock just means any clock that doesn't tell time with "hands" and uses numerals or what have you instead.
  9. Or one of the Massive wing joints/sports bars, like BW3
  10. Yeah, but I'm talking about this corridor dead in front of the baseball park. Like right next door or across the street, ala "Homeplate Bar and Grill"There's room for another option down there, a big one, like ESPN ZONE, especially with all the new residential going up right here. The buzz on gameday would be amazing. Especially during the playoffs!
  11. And if they're really REALLY smart, THIS time they will word the ballot the CORRECT WAY, to where voting "YES" actually means you are FOR the rail and voting "NO" actually means you are against. Not like the last election where they bamboozled all the poor people with slick wording that was the reverse of what I just said.
  12. I think Greenstreet will eventually land some soft goods retail. But it will happen well after the hotel is built and occupied. Also, Mayor Parkers office definitely has something big planned for this "retail district" they are tearing up Dallas street for, the question is WHAT exactly. It will all come, it's just gonna take awhile. In the meantime, I'm still with LargeTexas on the idea that once the GRB renovation is finished and the new hotel is built and occupied, that area fronting A.D.L.A and Disco Green will become a major retail destination, abuzz with tons of foot traffic. It will really give downtown that "pulse" that you see in the big cities downtowns like NYC and LA. Not on that scale obviously, but it's a start.
  13. Wait cloud, so you don't keep the Westheimer line going down Elgin to U of H, connecting to the University and the Purple line?
  14. I've always been for that. To me, the purpose of trains is to fight traffic. Almost every person on a train, is one less car on the freeway. That being said, I've always driven down 288 in the thick of horrible traffic, looked over at the median thats as wide as a football field, and pictured this in my head, going to and from Pearland to downtown:
  15. Ahh, connecting Westchase with downtown, I like the way you think!
  16. Ok so I think we all agree a Westheimer line would be the biggest no brainer, grandaddy line of them all in Houston. (Albeit a pipe dream) I think if it was done, it would be paramount to connect it to Memorial City somehow. So if each of you could create a connection to the Westheimer line from Memorial City, how would you do it? Would you put a train down Gessner? Where would the Memorial City station be? The Mall? The Office building cluster beside the mall? City Centre??
