  1. wait...so this is taking over the huge empty grass/park like area in front of The James? i was hoping they would turn this into a true park like the new midtown park with music/event venue etc...oh well!
  2. one of my employees is close with the victim's ex-husband who she had hired someone (an undercover officer) to kill for 20,000 and 2 cartier watches...guess she was afraid of jail since her court date was today... scary stuff...like from some crazy movie...
  3. rode my bike from my galleria condo to discovery green saturday (thats HUGE for me btw seeing that i ride my bike once a month...to a park just to lay down in the grass haha! )...anyway...saw that Bud's Pitmaster BBQ still has its Super Bowl Preview signs up with no work going on inside and looks like nothing has been done since it was open for those "Preview" nights...any word on what's going on with that place? and ps...with the Bassmaster Classic Outdoor Expo going on with other events as well it seemed, it was so nice to see everyone out and about enjoying Discovery Green and Avenida Houston! Because of my adventure i also got to finally experience Buffalo Bayou paths on my bike which was so awesome...hope to do that alot more! Love our city so darn much!

  9. haha...yeah sort of!...every week Tillman takes a look at 2 small businesses who offer some kind of service/product he may use within any or all of his businesses...at the end of each episode he flies the company to his Houston office and they throw the final pitch and he decides if he will use their product or not. Throughout the episode/process he helps them along the way with advice/ideas/opinions etc...many times you will see that those he does decide to work with have their life changed by having the business double, triple and more all because of Tillman buying/using their product/service. Its pretty educational and entertaining to watch in my opinion... My friends of the houston based company Bravado Spice were on the first episode ever and he decided to use their product in his restaurants and it definitely helped their business...and their company grow! 10. did anyone watch Billion Dollar Buyer this past week? The whole episode focused on the new ground level Patisserie being installed in The Post Oak. (2 companies were bidding on the concept...from name to design) While the new ribbon chandelier sounds cool, I actually liked the design that lost out better than the winning design...but understand that while the losing design seemed to say "french bakery" more, the winning design definitely fit the "late night/high end" vibe Tillman was going for as well. Anyway...it was fun to see our city and this development the focus of an entire episode!
  11. The Chronicle reported that Hopdoddy will open in Rice Village at 11 a.m. on March 6. The Austin-based burger chain announced that the store at 5510 Morningside (former home of Baker Street Pub & Grill) will also mark the introduction of the Hoss' Hot Chicken, made with a fried Nashville hot chicken breast and baby kale slaw. The store in Rice Village will donate $1 of each Goodnight Burger sold to The Periwinkle Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that supports the fight against cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The foundation benefits families who are being treated at the Texas Children’s Hospital.
