    haha it DID smell like delicious bbq and there was a reasonable crowd there...i was there in an off time (around 4pm) so i am betting it was even busier around lunch and dinner time!

    I have been to Biggios many times and love the place...good food and no service issues since that opening weekend from my experience. and in other news, Bud's BBQ had it's grand opening Saturday although i wasn't in the mood for bbq and instead went to Mcalister's Deli and man that orange cranberry club sandwich was delicious...as was the strawberry lemonade! (and of course there were tons of awesome comicpalooza people in super fun costumes etc...love when there are cool events at GRB and DG...so fun to see so many people enjoying that area!)

    was at the galleria and noticed that the entire west end of the ice rink length (along the railing/main food court end) is being turned into a pretty large new sushi place- http://www.sushigami.net/ ... (opening date 06/30/17 according to the Simon Malls website) but even better there is a CoCo Crepes Express ( http://www.cococrepes.com/ ) kiosk right by it and that opens in the next couple of weeks!

(apparently he will NEVER sell the land...interesting podcast to listen to within the link above...) and asking 400,000 a year rent means it may just stay as is...OY!

    Canyon Cafe and the Relax The Back store below have been completely gutted (with the rug place closing and moving out very soon...) to begin the renovations to make way for Canada based Moxie's Grill & Bar! https://www.virtualbx.com/construction-preview/24045-moxie-s-grill-project-at-galleria-clears-planning-commission-hurdle.html I'm pretty excited about this since it will be a good sports bar and grill to walk to just behind my condo! Plans were to open originally this summer but as behind as they are, my guess is the fall or next spring...we shall see...! https://moxies.com/

    rode my bike by there again last night and yep, all of canyon and relax the back are completely gutted out including all outer walls...the only thing left is the metal supports...so i wonder when the rug store shuts down...and then if they are indeed, going to knock this free standing building down...and if so, for what?

    it doesnt matter if they are 8 or 10 feet wide....most seem to drive like they are 15 fee wide and take up two lanes OFTEN...especially at the curve etc... i hate that they do that so i always try to steer clear of any buses on westheimer!

    for awhile i was reading that many suspected this bus plan was really going to turn into light rail once everything else was in place (despite the protests and votes against light rail)...we will see if that happens once everything else is in place and they have those designated "bus lanes"...

    speaking of canyon cafe...it seems they have completely gutted out all of canyon cafe and the old relax the back store...with the rug store closing up soon, does anyone know if they are knocking down the whole stand alone building those 3 are/were housed in or are they just renovating? it seems to me they are knocking it down...and if so, i wonder what is planned for that space?

    Yep! Saturday morning i hopped on my bicycle and traveled from my condo across from the galleria and headed towards GRB and man it was a blast seeing all the fun people running around Discovery Green and Avenida Houston in their costumes..and seeing our city at its best! Then as i rode around a bit more i discovered the art car parade was about to happen so i checked out some of the cars and people getting ready for that...and really it was such an amazing day that me and some friends decided to go back to Discovery Green that night to lay on the lawn and watch Moana!...loved it!!! haha! SO much fun and really, i love my city more and more all the time!

    wait...so this is taking over the huge empty grass/park like area in front of The James? i was hoping they would turn this into a true park like the new midtown park with music/event venue etc...oh well!

    one of my employees is close with the victim's ex-husband who she had hired someone (an undercover officer) to kill for 20,000 and 2 cartier watches...guess she was afraid of jail since her court date was today... scary stuff...like from some crazy movie...

    rode my bike from my galleria condo to discovery green saturday (thats HUGE for me btw seeing that i ride my bike once a month...to a park just to lay down in the grass haha! )...anyway...saw that Bud's Pitmaster BBQ still has its Super Bowl Preview signs up with no work going on inside and looks like nothing has been done since it was open for those "Preview" nights...any word on what's going on with that place? and ps...with the Bassmaster Classic Outdoor Expo going on with other events as well it seemed, it was so nice to see everyone out and about enjoying Discovery Green and Avenida Houston! Because of my adventure i also got to finally experience Buffalo Bayou paths on my bike which was so awesome...hope to do that alot more! Love our city so darn much!
