  4. Katherine Feser of the Houston Chronicle reported that Pinstripes, which features Italian and American cuisine along with bowling and bocce, is the first to join the Kirby Collection (3200 Kirby) in River Oaks and plans to open by late 2017. According to the Kirby Collection website, the space is described as a “vertical mixed-use development” that will be home to “the ultimate live-work-play community that meets 21st century demands and elevates the standard of urban living in Houston.” Keep an eye out for more announcements of trendy restaurant and bar tenants in the 61,600 square foot retail portion on this space. 6. my gosh yes i used to love the 2 restaurants mentioned...i dont know why i think of this as a no mans land area haha...i need to go there more and good to see that little area getting a facelift! thanks for reminding me how good those places are!
  7. so the question is, when are they knocking down that little 2 story building (with the run down convenience store on the bottom floor) on the corner or westheimer?! That building is so out of place.... anyone know that part of the timeline?
  8. it is located directly behind Whole Foods and to the south of Hanover Tower (1750 Skylark Lane) which IS directly behind Whole Foods (and that is St Michael Catholic School/Church located on Sage in the photo behind the lot fyi)
  9. yep that is obviously their target since the shops in this development also target that demographic... so it makes sense... however, yes, because of that i am a frequent visitor to Hopdoddy, Amorino and iPic but that is about it haha!
  10. omg who would have ever thought we would be excited about seeing photos of the GRB much less wanting to go there?! seriously boggles my mind since i always hated this building...now i love it haha! its exciting to see this building and this area become what it is...WOW! thanks for all the amazing pics and updates everyone!
  11. i keep on thinking the same thing...its almost like they said they wont be open in time for Super Bowl to relieve some of the stress and pressure in case they aren't...but secretly they are trying to be open by then
  12. and in other news i live on mccue at westheimer and work on sage at chevy chase, so i see this stuff everyday...i just havent figured out how to correctly post a photo from my phone on this board haha! someone want to give me lessons/instructions? i am sure it is so freaking easy to resize it but i just cant seem to do it!!! doh! and thank you Houston19514
  13. i was thinking they were talking about the empty lot on the same side of the street next door to Hanover? so not your photo but the empty lot west of that photo...? maybe i am wrong though...

  15. i may not be correct, but it may mean they are looking to expand and cross the allowed setback from the street along Missouri
  16. i was in the area recently and honestly nothing about this renovation excites me...i enjoy going to Rice Village from time to time and i dont know what is wrong with me but,...moo! haha!

  19. The 2017 Super Bowl is set for Feb. 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Can't wait!
  20. haha went last night to Amorino and met the owner Sebastien last night...he was super cool! loved the lemon gelato and the organic french citrus blend gelato...the flavors were just so bright (and my friend had the custard and black cherry gelato...wow that was good as well!) I will say that maybe because it was the first day, the "flower" cone scoops werent as beautiful as the professional photos on the site and in the store but i bet they will get better in time! It was super good stuff and cant wait to go back...also i heard the girl mention at the register that come fall they will be serving breakfast there! (?) ...really liking this development more and more...last night the entire place was buzzing with all restaurants busy and people walking around shopping and/or window shopping (it was approx 730pm)... we ate at Hopdoddy (no waiting in line as there were 2 spots at the bar) and then went to Amorino...then went up to iPic/The Tuck Room for a drink (my friend had one...i am the perpetual DD! and btw, even with the price, iPic is by far my favorite theater in Houston and go often)...it was a great night at ROD!
