    They closed the Gatti's near A&M many years ago, then they opened a big one in Bryan, about 13 years later they closed that one and opened a new one in College Station.

    We have Gatti Town in Bryan College Station. And we just got Chucky Cheese after them being gone for about 20 something years.

    I did not know Del Taco was in Texas before! I knew they had came into the El Paso market awhile back and it did not work. So Houston use to have Del Taco? When?

    Yeah, it is pretty cool where it is. But that Zone D' Erotica has to go. It messes up the whole up scale look of the area.

    I wonder what will go in Lord and Taylor? That movie theater ought to go there.

    I think it would be a good idea for Dillards to move from across the street into the Galleria. I wounder why they built outside of the Galleria in the first place. My guess is and this may be true) that when the Galleria first got built Dillards knew they would lose money to people going there, and there was no room for them back then so the built that one. Does anyone know the true story?

    Memorial City is already a clean new looking area, imagine how the development will make it look.

    Hopefully this is not true. Has anyone heard anthing about that 40 something story building that Florida company is supposed to be building?

    The Memorial development is similar (as far as how far a long) to this construction site in Dallas. The same cement sticks are up there to.

    Good to here they say that the towers will still be built! Now can you write the people building the Shamrock and ask the samething?

    I came to Houston yesterday and went to Memorial City Mall, and I saw the big posters and the cleared lots, I also saw that one of the buildings has started construction. There are some cement stick looking things coming out of the ground. That area is really clean, with all of the shinny buildings and the fresh looking mall. The only thing I did not like was Mervins, it's such a nasty place.

    why not uptown? To tell the truth I like uptown better than downtown. I like downtown, but uptown is whats happening. Mabe if downtown had going on what uptown does, I would feel the same about it.

    It's much different from the old one. It's still nice thought, as long as the still build it. here it is: This will be Houston's Rodeo Drive, 5th Ave, Etc. I'll beat that many of the upcale stores in the Galleria move here.

    How coulds you not know? It's been in the Chronicle and everything. They are knocking down 2 old shoing centers and replacing them with this nice urban residental/retail/office mini city.

    So thats whats going up over there? And construction has started? I haven't been to Houston since Spring Break (except for going to the airport.) So I'll bet a lot of new stuff has happened. Everytime I go to Houston there is always something new.
