    well, I have got to give it to those people though, one time I was on Westhimer and my truck fell dead right by the Hotel Derrk, Those people helped push my truck to that CVS Pharmacy. They were rasing money for something, and I felt bad because I did not give them money even after they helped me. (they left before I had a chance)

    This is true, Houston has too many people on the corners trying to see papers, flowers, begging for money, asking for donations, etc.

    Really! I did not know that. Why doesn't anyone do anything with it? That a very nice and happening street. I just wonder why Hard Rock placed a location way out there. When do you guys think they will start on the Kirby Condos?

    Is that near the old Fire+Ice Resturant? Is the old Hard Rock Cafe empty? Why are so many buildings on that street where Fire+Ice was empty?

    I went in there with my aunt last year, and we were pretty much the only people there. They should have placed it in the heart of downtown, in a building in stead of that center thats tucked to the side.

    Versace is still in Houston's Galleria, I think they moved to a new location.

    I wonder why architects don't think to put spires on buildings in Houston? I wish they would, it would make some of the buildings stand out more.

    ^Welcome to the forum. It's good you found this forum. We all work togeather to find stuff. Newspapers, websites etc. Some people on here know certin people to, and also look around for signs that say coming soon.

    I would like to see it as a city. Take all of the parking lots around there, develope them in to low rise buildings, have the light rail run through above ground, And Call it "Astro Station" something like this: http://www.atlanticstation.com/

    Why do they cover Mexico City news? Someone needs to tell them that this is America and not Mexico.

    Didn't they say construction will start in 30 days? well the announcment was made on March 23, 2005, so that leaves about 5 days so construction should start Saturday. But do construction workers work on Saturday?

    I like the Chronicle a lot, but the only why to make it better is with competition, lets bring back the Houston Post.
