Yep , that's the place, and you bet it's pricey. Buying a Romeo and Julieta is almost twice the price as many other tobacco shops, but they do have a very fresh selection and the staff knows their stuff.
-
Can't remember the cigar shop's name in the Village (think it's on Sunset), but they carry them.

He wasn't knocking Houston, but knocking the absurdity of those still waiting on this project. Edit: Geeez, I don't know what's happening to my replies. Either nothing shows up, or I can't see what I'm typing. LOL!

Tried em and they're terrible. The way it works is with a liquid capsule that inserts where the filter is supposed to be. The problem is that if you tilt the cigarette to far up (about 30 degrees) the liquid comes through the filter area and into your mouth. The taste was also horrible, at least in comparison to my Marlboro Lights. Of course it's all subjective I guess. Also, remember that if you go for the free trial that you have to ship back the electronic cigarette within 30 days or they will charge you $99.02 plus send you a refill pack that's about $50.00. I went through hell trying to get my money back. Sorry Wayne. Edit: I'm still not seeing what I'm writing past the first line.

Look, I am not a Katy booster, but am addressing how rediculous some of the attitudes are regarding DT or nothing. Houston is a sprawling city that is made up of many communities, that's just the way it is. Just because I live in Katy (actually am in the Houston ETJ) doesn't mean I don't support the Houston Stadia with my dollars. Do I pay taxes for those stadiums, etc, No, but that was not the reason I moved here. I still love Houston and consider myself a Houstonian, and support the city almost daily through my retail dollars. If the tax issue is a problem then you might talk with the city about it's decision not to annex the area where I live. Again, My point was only to emphasize how goofy it is to have the DT or nothing attitude, especially in Houston. Edit" Can't see anything in my response except for the first line.

Do you ever post anything than even remotely make sense? Sure it's a good thing that KBR is remaining DT, but there are a plethora of reasons why the Katy Address could be positive and since they have already been mentioned here I won't bother explaining. Remember that even the morons that decided to live "in The middle of nowhere" (Katy) still view themselves as a a part of Houston and make it possible for the city to claim it's current metropolitan status, stadia support, retail support, among other accolades. In other words, most of us are on the same team. Grow up! Edit: removed further, but needed insults.

Holy crap Batman. How do you continually top yourself with goofball posts? Attica and I don't always see eye to eye, but he did a great job at mocking your absurdity.

3009 Post Oak: Office Building At 3009 Post Oak Blvd.
Gary replied to swtsig's topic in Uptown and Galleria Area
If it's across from the waterwall that would place it where the highrise condo project (can't remember the name) was supposed to sit... Right? Now that I think about it that can't be the spot if it's supposedly sitting on the rail line. Anyone? Edit: Duh... Obviously if it has a Post Oak address it's not the lot I asked about above. I'm assuming it's the lot across from the pocket park on 610/Post Oak. -
Word of advice to those that have plants that begin burning at 20 or so degrees... Water deeply before the freeze hits. It insulates the root system. I just finished watering everything including my St Augustine.
-
Good post Jason. I'm going to at least give my Queen (about 15') a good wrap around her trunk and hope for the best. My Pindo should handle the freeze easily as long as we don't get into the teens.
-
Bougainvillea's DO NOT handle a freeze well at all, especially the hard freeze we had last week. The best thing to do is to cut them back to the knub and wait it out until spring. Some will deffinately come back, but you really need to get the dead foilage off to save the root systems energy.

Houston In The 1920's And 1930's New Book Event

I'd like to purchase the book for a Christmas gift. Is the Dairy Ashford gallery open tomorrow (Friday)? If so, what hours? -

We got about an inch and a half in South Katy, but it had a hard time sticking as we were hovering around 38 degrees. It still looked great for about two hours. It was snowing so hard around 11:30 that I picked my kids up from school early. They had a blast.

Not to mention that a pretty constant application of water is important.

A Pre-emergent herbecide will take care of your weed issues permanantly, but they must be applied correctly and at the right time of year. Oh, and it normally takes two seasons to see the results because your taking preventitive steps for fall and spring weeds. Randy Lemmon is a great source. http://ktrh.com/pages/gardenline2.html

I think Kubiak is a good coach, but lousy at bringing intensity to his team which to me is their biggest issue. I've never seen a team than was so consistently in a position to win games to only choke in the end. Sure some blame goes to player execution, but a lot of that has to do with a coaches mental power over his team and whether they believe they can win in the end. The Texans don't believe it. Kubiak and his staff also seem to be very slow at adjusting they're game plan at times. They waited until the second to last Titans drive to start a man on man defense and to strt ghosting Young, which I found perplexing.

Hey, I resemble that remark!

It has everything to do with a thread of this nature. Your constant negativity of Houston's architecture and boosterism of ATL, Dallas and the like is old and boring. Or in your words, "UGH."

Is Houston Becoming the new Brooklyn?

I had to come out of hiding to laugh at this one. -
Your amazingly arrogant my friend. I find it sad that you have taken up Red's mantra since his departure. At least with him there was substance involved in his discussions, even if I did dissagree. You make broad brushed statements constantly that say almost nothing, and you talk to people like they are idiots. I am very quickly losing respect for HAIF which is very sad since I've been here for so long. Where are the Red's and Niche's?

Trucks, SUVs and V8s Most Popular in Houston
Gary replied to Subdude's topic in General Houston Discussions
Do you think that your car puts out less emissions than my diesel? The chances are that it does not since diesel is a cleaner burning fuel. If we're going to stay consistant then we need to remove the V8 sports cars as well. The selfish bully comment is laughable. Al Gore is a clown, and most that have dome their research know this. I don't take anything personally unless you start stereotyping those of us that drive big vehicles. So your telling me that know one here has purchased a small car out of vanity? That ludicrous.
