  1. Oj was acquited in the states case against him, but was found guilty of the wrongful death of Goldman and battery of Brown in the civil case.
  2. I think it's pretty safe to assume that your a Christian. Unfortunately, it sounds like your not using the common sense that God gave you. Jackson, who had a plethora of problems, IS NOT worthy of any type of legislation, period. What the hell is happening to this country!
  3. C'mon, you can do better than that.
  4. Cool pics former neighbor. Hope all is well bro.
  5. See OJ. Edit: Decided to delete another comment.
  6. Your kidding, right? While Jackson may have promoted peace, etc among the races, he DOES NOT deserve what Lee was proposing. You say that " We honor people in America that has done much less to try to better our world than what he did", all the while neglecting those that REALLY make a difference. There are thousand of them from every walk of life. When was the last time you saw a soldier, teacher, etc, recieve the farewell or acolades that he did. Personally I found it ubsurd. For God's sake man, he was a freaking musician who had lost his mind. The guy was hooked on drugs bigtime, had questionable relationships with young boys, (aquitted or not), and wasn't sure who the hell he was. How some of you can back this guy, and say that he was some sort of philanthropist (in one degree or another) is beyond me.
  7. Thanks for all the great info guys... I'm tempted to call "Bluesky Commercial" to see if I could get access to the property.
  8. Sevfiv, what do you think my next course of action should be?
  9. I saw it driving down Little York, but didn't stop. It's about 500 yards down the bayou and wasn't sure if I would be trespassing.
  10. Yeah, the road looks like limestone. I'd really love to find out more about it.
  11. That's it... Sorry that I don't have a photo. Any info on the place?
  12. Since clearing the trees at W Little York and Hwy 6 an old home, that sits on the banks of the bayou, was exposed, and I was hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on it. It looks to be at least 75 to 80 years old.
  13. I Agree. I'll have to make it to one of the gatherings and buy ya a beer... Or eight.
  14. Although we've had a few arguments, congrats Red. I suspect your not such a hard ass in real life, lol. Seriously, you contribute a lot to the forum.

    Damn, it's HOT

Whoever was in charge of taking care of the Katy Freeway did absolutely nothing. I just don't understand it. You would think at least a small amount of pride would exist out here, but it doesn't.

I'm more than "slightly dissapointed" about the trees along the Katy. The majority of the trees have now been cut down by TXDOT, and they just left them laying on the ground. Maybe a secondary crew will shred them, I don't know. Had they been given the slightest bit of care (irrigation), many of the trees could have been saved, and the Katy would have been a very nice freeway in 10 years.
  17. That's what's crazy. Most of those that live here like it, and I can't understand why. Aside from the Dallasite mentality most everything is cookie cutter crap, and the traffic has gotten progressively worse. Calgon take me away!
  18. That's right on the mark. It's much better to water less frequently, but much deeper. This allows the root systems of grass (especially St Augustine), trees and shrubs to grow down versus sideways. The general rule is about an 1 to 2 inches of irrigation a week, but done in the intervals exactly as you are doing. By the way, a good way to measure how much time one needs to run their sprinkler is to place a coffee can in the sprinkler zone, and wait until it fills to roughly half an inch deep. This will tell you how long your particular sprinkler takes to get the job done. Edit: Another thing to consider, and it will give you BIG results with trees, is to purchase a deep root watering system. They're about 50 bucks and work beautifully, not only for irrigation, but for fertilization as well. Also, since night time temps are in the low eighties to high seventies you can irrigate at night without the fear of fungal diseases. Just don't overdo it.
