  1. Ahhh, your right. You would think a guy with 12 years of baseball on his belt would have thought of that.
  2. What the hell is Wilson doing on the "wind up" photo"? He's looking toward left field.
  3. So does this thing go down between 6:30 and 8:30 (rail closure times)? Anybody know?
  4. I guess I don't understand why some are dissapointed this midrise won't have ground floor retail. I'm all for a more urban Houston, but in this case there is a plethora of retail all around this complex. On top of that, it's all within easy walking distance. It seems to me that when considering the above, a developer would be crazy to not add more residents to the bottom floor. Imo, this project does not need retail at all.
  5. Coog, remind me not to take a chug of OJ before reading your posts.
  6. I've already posted these but thought I would add to the thread anyway. Here's one (photographer unknown) of the Uptown skyline that really shows off it's size.
  7. Folks, they just officially anounced the Pavillions a couple of months ago, so don't get your panties in a wad.
  8. For me it doesn't matter as his breaking of the Babe's record means very little.
  9. "keck hall's basement"? That must be the same place it was back when as I remember having to walk down a few stairs to get there. I would love for old time's sake to visit. Can you tell me where Keck hall is?
  10. I don't know if this is off the point, but does anyone remember a place called "Vahallas" (not sure how to spell it), which was on the Rice U campus? I remember a trip to Houston in the mid eighties when a friend took me to this place. It had $.25 beer and everyone would sit around the lawn drinking and only God know's what else. Very cool place, especially for a 20 something year old. If so, does this place still exist?
  11. Maybe I can give 713 my phone number, that should work.
  12. I know everybody like's ground floor retail but I don't think this building need's it. They've got a huge mall, Starbucks, 24 hour fitness, 3 restaurants (Mexican, seafood & steak if I'm not mistaken) right next door, Charlies hamburger, Specs, Quiznos, convenience store's, etc, etc. This place is perfectly situated for one to have a plethora of retail within a 3 or 4 minute walk.
  13. That is exactly what I was trying to point out in my initial post. Kubiak knows what he's doing, his record shows it. TJ, I'm only a semi fan from my LA days. I had some friends in the early nineties who were from Dallas, and they eventually sucked me in during the Super Bowl days. Yes, I was a bandwagon jumper but my loyalty has slowly waned. Especially after listening to 713 to 214's comments. Very interesting info Red. Also very interesting that 713 has no REAL response to your last two post's.
  14. I would 214, I really would. The problem is, I happen to be a semi Cowboy fan so I can't. >
