    I was there and there was a sign that said "ring the bell if you had good service", so I rang the bell... twice... and nothing happened.

    I'm talking about the strip center where Blockbuster used to be - theres no patio there. I think that's what we were talking about even though the thread is really about the old Felix location (which I wouldn't really call a strip center). Basically somebody said the owner of that center was waiting for all of the tenants to move out so it could be demolished and rebuilt, but I see for lease signs on the windows which looks to me like it's less likely that they are planning on rebuilding that place. I think this is sort of relevant to this thread because the Blockbuster strip center is across the corner from where all the construction is going on (Felix/Uchi, etc).

    I noticed today that there are for lease signs in the vacant parts of the strip center on Montrose and a Westheimer. I wonder if they are really trying to lease it out.

    That would be awesome! I know that strip center has some historical value blah blah blah but it looks like crap now and it has for years. And it's a great intersection for a non-strip center style development. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

    Obviously nobody knows what will happen before it happens so the 100% thing makes no sense. If he had meant it like that he would have flat out said that they weren't going back up. Things like this have been done before and it's definitely possible to build turbines that can withstand the kind of wind we get here so I think we'll see them up again at some point, but obviously we're all just speculating here.

    I thought I saw something up there as well but I wasn't sure if it was turbine related or not. I sure hope so.

    Damn no invites fir me I guess. A least not for now. Does anybody remember "Google Wave"? I sometimes wonder if ago ogle Plus will turn out like that but I hope not. Google Wave was kind of a different project but it was an epic fail for something that was so hyped up. I remember it was so hard to get n invite for wave at the beginning that people were selling their invites on eBay. Hopefully Google will be more generous with + invites soon.

    The homeless facility is not expanding to the Richmond Landing lot is it? It sounds like that's a different lot entirely. I have mixed feelings about the homeless vets expansion thing.

    I saw a variance sign on the property today! That's a good sign that this is moving forward.

    Here are some photos from my walkthrough after happy hour at Chuy's last week. It is VERY nicely done. And it already feels like there are more people walking on the sidewalks on this part of Kirby than there were a few years ago. This is what urban development should be.

    Here are some photos from my morning walk to the light rail. Looks like it's finished, however the new addition really doesn't match the rest of the building. I wonder if it's going to stay like that or if the rest of the building is eventually going to match it.
