I think you hit the nail on the head. I hope people don't take this the wrong way but blacks do seem to take a position in favor of someone from their own race more so than other races. I can't say I blame them, but sometimes the evidence is overwhelming (OJ and Michael Vick come to mind, so do several others) and they will still take the side of the black person. This cannot help them when being picked for a jury. Yes there should have been blacks on the jury but I'm not sure it's the district attorneys office's fault there was none.
I can relate. I painted quite a few of those old Bellaire homes. Of course you know the paint we were scraping was lead based and the shingles were asbestos. Something to look forward to in later life.
They might rent part of the Kroger space but Aldi's are very small. Even smaller then the old HEB Pantrys. Their parent company Trader Vics builds the larger stores.
Those were the good old days of radio. RB is a neighbor of mine. We were having a discussion not long ago about how different radio is today. Biggest difference is there are no local owners. Every station is owned by a conglomerate based in NYC.
Aldi might provide jobs at their stores but they don't carry any local products. Everything is brought in from Chicago. To me they are the "Dollar Stores" of groceries.
If Sugar Land had gone with my nomination for their new baseball team the "Roaches" instead of the "Skeeters" then they could have placed Bubba out in centerfield as their showpiece.
Strange. I have been purchasing stuff from Amazon for years and always receive my merchandise within 2 to 3 days. I've only had 1 or 2 issues over the years with them and it was promptly rectified. I pretty much do all my shopping online, not just for the savings but because I detest going shopping. I like Amazon and Newegg best because of the reviews they post. You can't get that at a B&M store.
I'm thinking this rule is for resellers that hold a State Tax permit. It implies if they buy something for their own use using their tax number they have to pay taxes.
This sucks but for most of the stuff I order from Amazon it won't make a big difference. It's those big ticket items that will make a real difference like a new TV or stereo. The tax savings can be pretty significant for something over a grand. Now I will have to weigh the tax savings with other online stores such as Newegg when purchasing high dollar items.
According to my book "Colt 45's, A Six Gun Salute", the Colts never played at Buff Stadium. Their first game in April 62 was at the quickly built Colt Stadium, which was of course only a temporary stadium until the Dome could be completed.
