I live there - have been there a little over 6 months...I believe they have some good incentives going right now for buyers (pricing discounts, hoa fees paid, etc...) I have not had any issues with my unit - there was no damage during Ike - the only problems I have experienced were with the entry gate (it was inoperable for a week while being repaired - they moved us to the 2nd level parking while it was being fixed) and the elevators seem to break alot (there are 4 of them so that isnt a big deal and they are usually fixed the same day). There are a couple rowdy people - but overall, it is a very quiet complex, I hardly ever see anyone in the halls or at the pool area... I face the pool area (not the Camden apartments) so I cant comment on them - although I have heard that they have an alarm in the pool area that goes off alot at night and bothers people that live on that side.. Any other questions - just ask.... Are you working with Ray ?

The upright grills are due to the pedestrian safety laws....you are right - they will be showing up on all new cars....the new E-Class coupe even has a hood that pops up if you run into something to lessen the impact...

Renaissance At Greenspoint: Office Tower
HoustonMidtown replied to KinkaidAlum's topic in Other Houston Neighborhoods
They just completed one office park on 45 and Beltway and are building another one on the other side of our building. The six years that I have been here have seen quite a turn around in the area from the "Gunspoint" days....it's not there yet - but it's alot better....It is extremely convenient to IAH, easy access to highways...and EXPO Motors just opened (doesnt that prove it's a great place!! LOL) That tower would be a great addition to the area....I hope they build it...- 19 replies

What happens to your "investment" in a situation like this - does your insurance cover you? I can't imagine getting kicked out of my home like this....I suppose the alternative of having the parking garage collapse on me would be worse though... -
There is a banner hanging above what appears to be the parking entrance.....I just caught it out of the corner of my eye, but I think it said now leasing, or now selling.... The website is www.tennisonloft.com but it's not up and running correctly yet...

Some of those townhomes are 10 feet from the tracks - don't they shake and rattle when a train goes by? ...okay, maybe they are 20 feet away!! I can't imagine living that close to the tracks...especially for that kind of money...

The Point At White Oak: Multifamily At 102 Quitman St.
HoustonMidtown replied to Sam Houston's topic in Downtown
Construction has started on this project.....you can see it if youre going south on 45 into downtown and take the Quitman exit - it's on the right overlooking downtown and White Oak bayou... -
I had a "reserve" on a unit at The Vistas - which meant I put a deposit down and then was waiting until construction was finished - the builder listed the unit as sold.....since construction took a year longer than they told me when I "bought" my unit - I cancelled....so when they say the units are sold while they are being built - it means someone has put down a deposit - I dont know how many actually go to contract though...
