    My only objection for the condo conversion is that the units aren't a particularly good investment unless you are subletting the unit out and making money on the rents. Outside of that, I don't see much appreciation of the unit values. It may turn out like the Renaisance at Welch and Shepherd. They really seem that the units can't get sold. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The last time I drove by the Renaisance, the sign said 1 unit left !!

    They are currently under construction - move-in is supposed to be this summer although that seems a bit optimistic to me - they are still working on the parking garage structure.

    These are the same people (InnerLoopCondos.com) that are marketing The Vistas in Midtown...Tom told me several weeks ago that interest wasn't strong enough for the price point.... What does that mean for the condos being built where River Cafe is/was ? $700K seems like alot for Montrose ? Mark

    Im not from Houston, so I don't know the official name of the old hotel on Montrose, near the museum district....but it has a big sign out front stating something to the affect that is has been sold. Does anyone know what is going to happen to it? (Sorry if this is old news...I couldn't find it on the site anywhere...) Mark
