Plumbing permits were filed / purchased two days ago for 1220 W Clay St and 1226 W Clay St. Below are select details from the permits: Use (1220 W Clay St): 1,394 sf convert single-family rental to restaurant w/ bar Use (1226 W Clay St): 1,287 sf convert single-family rental to lounge with bar 1-1-5-A2-B '15 IBC 2/2 The permits are for D'oro, a new hospitality concept possibly from the Kirby Group. It joins the growing roster at Harlow District.
  2. Plan revision permits were filed two days ago for Pavón (Pavón Coffee Den) and Sala (Sala Social House). Pavón is a coffee shop from Almost Famous Concepts, a new local hospitality group. It's opening at 1216 W Clay St, Suite B. Sala is a cocktail lounge from the same hospitality group. It will be located at 1216 W Clay St, Suite A. Both are joining Verde Garden, Katimi, and La Griglia at Harlow District.
  3. A mechanical permit for 2311 Westheimer Rd, Suite 110 was filed two days ago. This follows last month's structural permit. Details from the permit: Use: 2,876 sf shell / future restaurant (14/14) 1-12-1-SH-B '15 IBC 100% Spk FCC Group: Other non-residential building(s) This is for one of the ground level spaces at the mixed-use residential development from High Street Residential. The name of the development may be Residences on Westheimer, based on posts here. According to the plan review status page, plans for the shell space have yet to be submitted.
  4. A plan revision was yesterday for 1119 W 20th St. As previously posted, a new concept from Clé Group is going up on the property. The concept is called Blvd Park.
  5. Following the filing of an architectural barriers project for 2511 Willowick Rd, Ste 326, a plan reviewing fee permit was filed yesterday. The address on the permit is 3750 Westheimer Rd. A few details from the permit: Use: Buildout, restaurant FCC Group: Non-residential alteration Fielding's (or Fielding's Local ) is leasing a unit at Novel River Oaks. It's a restaurant from Fielding's Culinary Group based in The Woodlands. The address for the restaurant is either 2511 Willowick Rd, Suite 326 or 3750 Westheimer Rd.

  11. The 5,000-square-foot parcel at 202 W 27th St sits on approximately 0.11 acres. It's located on the hard corner of Yale St and West 27th St in Greater Heights area. I'm unsure which neighborhood this is located On the property is a 3,060-square-foot building. County records indicate the building was constructed in 1910 and later converted for commercial use. Sunset Heights Food Market previously occupied the building. Adjacent to the 202 W 27th St parcel is mac & cheese restaurant Jus' Mac. It's located at 2617 Yale St. Across the street from 202 W 27th St is Kindall Automotive at 2624 Yale St.

  14. There is an architectural barriers project filing for 2414 University Blvd (possibly, 2414 University Blvd, Ste 100). It was filed yesterday with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR.) The filing is Hudson House. Based off the site plan in the above post, the restaurant will be located in Victoria's Secret's former space at 2414 University Boulevard, Suite 100. The forthcoming Rice Village outpost will be the restaurant's second location in Houston.   15. The most recent leasing materials for Navigation Place. It appears the materials were updated in November. Based on the updated site plan, the 6,000 sf unit that was previously available is being divided into two units. One of the units is leased to Re/Max. The address for the business is 2929 Navigation Blvd, Ste 120. Jonathan's The Rub now appears on the site plan. As reported in November, the restaurant is leasing the 2929 Navigation Blvd, Ste 200 unit. It was last occupied by Gatsby's Grill.   18. Thanks for the update, @bookey23. I'm disappointed the coffee shop leasing the other 1111 E St unit is Starbucks. However, I like the facade design Shelbi Nicole and team painted a while back. I also like Wolf Capital Partners is still incorporating an outdoor patio.

  20. Prego will be relocating soon, likely some time this year. The news was reported in October. Currently located at 2520 Amherst St, Prego's new digs will still be in Rice Village. It is moving to 5515 Kelvin Dr., Suite 130. Talbots, a clothing retailer, occupies the unit.   21. A follow up: County records show Wood Lane Partners purchased 313 W 20th St and 317 W 20th St. A warranty deed for the properties was recorded to the county's database yesterday. As noted last week, Wood Lane Partners also acquired 325 W 20th St in December. It's possible the properties could be utilized in some way for The Daphne / Daphne Hotel at 347 W 20th St. I suppose we'll know more in the coming months. The Daphne is a joint project between Bunkhouse Group and RGA Ventures, a subsidiary of Houston-based Wood Lane Partners.

What's Now Houston reported on the architectural barriers project filing for 3302 Mercer St. Based on the article, it seems the author contacted Covington Custom Builders / Covington Builders for additional details. Still, the news site isn't the most reliable source of information. Almost all the content on the site are stretched-out details from architectural barriers project filings. The content on their site is mostly limited to restaurants and bars. I find their articles are mainly low on information, usually lacking details from developers or business owners. Also, the writing is as if it was written with an AI program. Details from What's Now Houston's article: Covington is now setting his sights on reinventing the bar scene with his latest project: a uniquely conceived Bourbon Bar, to be located 3302 Mercer St. Currently unnamed and in the early stages of development, the bar’s identity is beginning to take shape.
