  1. Surveyor stakes and a crew mowing the weeds.
  2. Linbeck is the contractor adding more to the existing Yes Prep. There are more buildings across the street that are already built in the empty lot shown on Google Maps. This used to be a city park and Yes Prep took it over. I used to work near here and drove down Lawndale daily.
  3. Surface lot parking and the apartments will be in the back, underground piping only so far.
  4. Drove here hoping to see the tower crane being taken down. They usually wait for the weekend to shut down streets downtown. Crane is gone.
  5. I drove by when they were pouring and again later to eat. Asked them inside what this parking lot was for and they said it was for the BCN restaurant across the street. That restaurant has very little parking so that makes sense. https://www.bcnhouston.com
  6. Get ready for the construction. Plan for delays and alternate routes. Architect/Plan Engineers- https://gaugeengineering.com
  7. We discussed this potential was maybe going to be where the current Tower 5040 on Calhoun ended up due to the render showing the building next door and Brays Bayou next to it.
  8. Architect - https://www.houzz.com/professionals/building-designers-and-drafters/richard-grothues-designs-inc-pfvwus-pf~1636909151 I'm going to guess this in the empty lot and not at the existing building.
  9. Houston Chronicle and others reported this story.... "Mexcor International, a Houston-based global distributor of liquors from all over the globe, snagged the property at 11445 Compaq Center West Drive in a deal that closed March 24 for an undisclosed price." https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/real-estate/article/Liquor-distributor-has-big-plans-for-former-HPE-17049306.php
  10. Sounds like the Texas airline lobby filled some politician coffers with legalized bribery.
  11. I asked this guy walking some questions about the building, he appeared to be the boss. He confirmed it will be 12 stories, will get a tower crane that will be located where they are filling this hole with rebar and the parking garage will be a built-in-place using the tower crane and not a precast. Edit: I saw the logo on his cap for the company building this but by the time I got home I couldn't remember the name.
  12. I think this front end loader operator was getting tacos at Tierra Caliente and was actually from the S. Shepherd street construction. I also saw a pick up from an inspection company parked on site.
