UrbaNerd replied to WesternGulf's topic in Midtown
Looks like it is indeed a go! According to this googled document: "Camden City Centre Houston, TX 379 54.0 17.4 17.4 3Q07 3Q08" http://biz.yahoo.com/e/060807/cpt10-q.html More articles: http://finance.abc13.com/abc?ID=3327820&am...p;Page=NewsRead 16. I'll be fiddlin' with glee when this Rome burns...

In fact, the existing rail line is probably closer. You just have to walk a mile (or something) from Main/Fannin.

GreenStreet: Mixed-Use Development At 1201 Fannin St.
UrbaNerd replied to MontroseNeighborhoodCafe's topic in Downtown
Welcome to page 27! (for those that don't know, the picture above is of a Russian Su-27 fighter jet) -
The rendering only looks like the central, midrise portion. Hopefully, the highrises, and such will still be built around the thing.

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/busine...ff/3956173.html "A lot of the transformation so far has taken place in Midtown, where a prime block of land just sold at the corner of Main and Elgin. A CVS Pharmacy will be built on the southeast corner, according to Marshall Davidson of Cushman & Wakefield, who was involved in the land sale." This can go two ways. They can either make a pedestrian friendly design, or plop another suburban CVS there. Now, tell me which one is more likely. *beats head into table repeatedly*
