Thereare a few hints that im investigating about someone seeing the owner of top golf out on the site looking at the land. Looking and interest are two different things though. It would be perfect for the view but a whole lot would need to be built around it to make it possible

Bear in mind that I'm also the same guy that heard HEB was looking at the kbr site too. For right now just file this one under unsubstantiated rumors. Just looking to see if anybody else had heard the same thing

Alright... Everyone ready for this.... (puts on tin foil hat) What if UT doesn't want to buy that land in the SW... What if they want to instead purchase the KBR lot and adjacent MDI lot?!?!? Look at the shape of the proposed layout... Very similar to the KBR and Adjacent MDI lots combined The Ike funding is running out and no Mdi homes will be built on that lot in the near future.... Offices already in place on KBR site with utilities and sewage in place... The KBR lot was freshly mowed a week ago. (first time in 2 years).... (tin foil hat off) No way this happens. UT to south west 100% going to happen

East End Townhome Developments

Great news! Hopefully the bridge and roads are real things. As both sides of the bayou re-develope access will become critical -
East End Townhome Developments
Mr.Clean19 replied to HoustonMidtown's topic in EaDo, the East End, and East Houston
They definitely started some type of construction work over on the Padua Realty lot and the MDI lot has about 3 back hoes and some dirt movers out there now. -
Noticed that the company lost it's real estate portion of its website.... anyone know what is going on with the owner or the property? http://cathexis.com/ Does anyone have a loopnet account or know of another means to see if this land is for sale right now. It says members only and im not going to spend $79 dollars to find out.

East End Townhome Developments
Mr.Clean19 replied to HoustonMidtown's topic in EaDo, the East End, and East Houston
There was some activity recently along the east end by Pinto Realty, Asakura Robinson along the Bayou, Urban Living setting up land for a large townhome development and Lovette homes at the MDI lot moving dirt. Dont know what is going on around the bayou but something is driving this action..... any ideas by people on here? -
Potential Development Along Buffalo Bayou Trails Kennedy St.
Mr.Clean19 replied to LS27's topic in Houston Real Estate
Perry Homes bought some of the land along the bayou there and is re-platting. On the north side, urban living and urban lofts are going up fast. Asakura Robinson is a livibility consultant. I cant imagine they would get into building homes. -
Asakurarobinson got the study and is set to start work in August. Hopefully make Waco/hirsch bridge more friendly to cross

Our corner of 5th ward South of I-10, West of Waco and North of the Bayou is working to re-brand our area. Recently the home owners came together and by strong majority decided to re-brand our area from The Bottom of the 5th Ward to East Bayou District with the formation of our areas Civic Club. We hope to encourage development on the East End of Downtown and guide the area to it's fullest potential. The attached PDF is a crude map of the development along the bayou around our area. (No comments about my drawing skills...) Even though there are no immediate plans for the KBR lot, BBP is planning on working on bike trails to connect this main artery of Buffalo bayou for a continuous trail to either memorial park through Allen Parkway or to the heights. It's an exciting time for the residents of our area and if you haven't had a chance to see the areas development first hand, ride your bike down and check out the view. East Bayou District.pdf

So apparently there are 2 cranes being assembled on the Most eastern portion of the property and a new gas line being installed by Centerpoint. Signs of life?

Coolest Houston Commute Ever
Mr.Clean19 replied to Marcus Allen's topic in General Houston Discussions
Southern 5th ward. Want to drive, counterflow I10, 59 and 45. Less than 20 min to any destination inside the Beltway and 10 min inside 610. Want to ride your bike, immediate bayou access that goes to downtown, splits to the heights and memorial along the new Allen parkway. There is no area in Houston with as much potential -

Seems that Cathexis (KBR Lot) pissed off the city enough to make them move their River Walk plans just a little bit down the river. Annis really wanted the botanical garden there. I cant imagine what that would have looked like. Its such a beautiful Bayou over there. It would be nice if they could incorporate the trees into the future plans of that area, but I see them knocking a lot of them down to accommodate views. Its still a beautiful bike ride for those that haven't been to that side. Maybe wait a few months for the trails to finish though. -
