  1. So.... speculation is that they had a trailer on their property for 1 year to establish a Board of Directors that could vote on bonds. The trailer is now gone, which means the vote has happened (Or so some people think). It would be interesting if they published it somewhere.
  2. How would we find out about bonds that were passed by the management district for this lot?
  3. Its a few years off, but they are working on making Sampson and York into underpasses to silence the trains.
  4. The original idea was to have a trolly system linking the east end and lower 5th ward circulating the bayou around Clinton and Navigation. Probably 20 years away from this though.
  5. I'm surprised that they would develop the east side first. Maybe they have potential anchor tenants. If so, that would allow for the development of land around the company. Over the next 5 years, there will be an additional 400 homes to the existing 400 new homes in the area. They will need to coordinate around the TXDOT project becuase people wont visit if there is a giant traffic jam right in the middle of the project.
  6. Also, another nice townhome development right under the 45 reroute. http://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/New-subdivision-planned-for-East-Downtown-11267038.php
  7. Going to rain on my own parade Urbannizer and say it still doesnt go forward. http://www.chron.com/business/bizfeed/article/New-subdivision-planned-for-Fifth-Ward-11297555.php
  8. Switchboards is going to be my new "Go-to" place for College football if they can keep it clean and maintain the shuffleboard space. Everything is coming up Milhouse on the East End.
  9. The only way I would sit outside in Houston from April to October would be if there was a breeze or misting fans
  10. What a great location for east end folks if it comes through. Its almost unfortunate that the CVS takes up so much real estate on the corner there, but early bird gets the worm.
  11. Great find! Its about time they did something with this land. I think there is some zoning against additional Mexican food restaurants along navigation.
  12. It will have a great view of downtown after the freeway is underground. It will be noisy for an office building but a great landmark to the east end.
  13. Also, I'm suprised no one on here commented on this company KBRN's purchases at the same time: ACCOUNT INFORMATION Account Number Owner Name Property Address Zip Impr Sq Ft Market Value Appraised Value 0371220000006 KBRN LP 2315 NAVIGATION BLVD 77003 0 $4,068,500 $4,068,500 0371230000001 KBRN LP 2338 NAVIGATION BLVD 77003 0 $123,440 $123,440 0371230000005 KBRN LP 2311 CANAL ST 77003 49,700 $3,655,120 $3,655,120 0371230000023 KBRN LP 2332 NAVIGATION BLVD 77003 0 $236,620 $236,620 0351540000001 KBRN LP 3300 CLINTON DR 77020 0 $375,000 $375,000 0351550000001 KBRN LP 3200 CLINTON DR 77020 0 $325,000 $325,000
  14. Have an opportunity to speak with Midway in the next few weeks about this development. What would HAIF'rs give as input on a project with this much open land and with the opportunity to make this a landmark site?
  15. Booo amusement park.... BOOooooo. The UT Campus would have been a great idea. Or a Green Energy Corridor. Heck, you could even make a dock right there on the bayou to barge products out. The Cathexsis owners were using the site to ship Reactors to jobsites.
  16. I probably didnt capture everything south of the site. This was ment to capture large open tracks along the bayou in that area... Again... it is a rough copy.
  17. For those new to the area, i've attached my version of development in the area. Should be interesting to see what happens the next few years. East Bayou District Development Map.pdf
  18. @H-Town Man - Perry Homes is building 20 something homes right accross the bayou from this. Not too risky in my opinion. They are selling even before this news... although the sales team over there has to feel pretty good about this new information and the potential for a pedestrian bridge between the two properties.
  19. Dont trust the map on that brochure. It also has an apartment complex planned for the Pinto Lot in Lower 5th Ward. Seems to have no real foundation behind these claims.
