He had enough sense to realize it was a bad business move after he dissed his Houston fans and bolted to the comforts ($$$) of NYC.

Double Dave's is actually College Station-style. Pep'roni rolls were born in BCS just like Freebirds -

No doubt, and he's not a new coach, it's his second year. News Flash: Kubiak is an Aggie also.

There is a Sarnoff article in the Sunday Chronicle business about McDonald's making a deal with Randall Davis for another 26 story condo. It sounds very similar to the deal he made with JCI down the street for the Cosmopolitan.

No, but I heard that Arlington is willing to pass a law changing their name to "Darlington" so Jerry never has a problem with his "D" again.

That's right, I forgot about that version. I guess that's the connection. Thanks.

I'm still confused about the Rhianna performance. Chris Brown came out again after her *short* performance ended. It just wasn't well put together.

When Will The Light Rail & Commuter Rails Start Construction?
ProHouston replied to citykid09's topic in Transit
This is what I've always thought too. The get the best ridership and provide the best option for all Houstonians, a line from Wheeler down Richmond to Weslayen then up to Westheimer would be most effective. However, I'd push for a subway from Weslayen/Richmond up to Post Oak/Westheimer before bringing it back to street level at Sage or Yorktown. Obviously from all the rhetoric we've heard, this is prohibitively expensive. I sure wish we could present it to the Feds though and prove its usefulness. Anything short of this alignment is a compromise. -
I wasn't that impressed with the Alicia Keys performance. I thought her rendition of "Freedom" was better than her own song, not sure why she sang it though. Chris Brown was awesome, I still can't figure out why Rhianna performed in the middle of it though. It seemed out of place.

I like the new floor as well. It does look more classic and I like the lighter stained wood inside the 3 point line.

I definitely like the idea of a mini city inside the dome. It all seems very futuristic and I think it will draw tourists. It will be much like the Gaylord in Grapevine but with everything under one huge roof instead of just part of it. I think being in the dome will make it feel more like an open, outdoor space than an indoor mall or the Galleria does. The ceiling will be 18 floors above the floor of the development, you shouldn't feel enclosed. Plus, being indoors, you take out the seasonal travel effect out of the equation. You don't have to worry about too much heat in the summer or too much cold in the winter. The pools can be open year-round and you never have to worry about getting your vacation rained out. I like it a lot.

I'm pretty sure the idea is to have the hotel rooms all be interior to the dome. Therefore, the views would be of the indoor facilities, pools, ponds, shops, restaurants (i.e., the mini city). I don't think the plans include any views outside the dome. What's there to look at anyhow? The Reliant parking lot...

Giants And Jets To Build Stadium Together

It's already done, they are breaking ground. Plus, the NFL loaned them $300 million to do it. -
That should be interesting. Chipotle has opened locations at Sugar Land Town Square and Market Street, I wonder if they'll open at La Centerra also and compete with Mission?

No, but you'd get more visibility into your question if you made it its own topic.
