  1. I was at a breakfast where Campo was the speaker. He said that mixed use is not in Camden's strategy in Houston. He said it didn't work in Houston and they had no plans to try. This was a little over a year ago though.
  2. She really should have done midtown or memorial heights while waiting. No big deal though. I went to Okra on Friday night. It was awesome.
  3. I did go to that Macy's today to figure out if I was going to want any big ticket items once the closeout sale starts. No joke, 100% truth, as I walked up I had to jump over the spreading puddle of piss from a homeless guy directly across the street peeing behind a planter. This was 2 hours ago. 12:30. On Main Street in the middle of rush hour.
  4. I never said they needed to axe him. I consider Shaub as right about the middle of the road in the league, maybe higher. He would be in my 12 - 16 range in terms if his ranking. That isn't great but can be enough with a great defense and running game. Both of those facets have fallen this year and it exposes his flaws. That said, top 10 quarterbacks are hard to come by. Top 5 is nearly impossible to get. I think we are stuck with him until we develop someone else or get lucky with a great-timed terrible season.
  5. Shaub has been uneven lately as well. If we are talking about lately, throw Cam and Russell Wilson up in front of him.
  6. That looks really awesome. Huge fan.
  7. I was referring to Lockmat's linked pdf. May is early...ish. I would love to see it open significantly earlier though.
  8. With the construction of the new FB stadium going on at the same time as the light rail, they decided to hold off on closing Cullen. They also plan to do significant renovations to Hofheinz soon, so that could hold it off as well. I would think that the earliest that they will close Cullen would be 2016. If that were the case, we would only have 3 or 4 more years of wear and tear on that street with heavy construction vehicles running down it. Should be in really great shape by that time.
  9. Sundance is great. Still hoping that we can get this Alamo Drafthouse as well.
  10. False. " The Sterling Mansion was built by Frank P. Sterling in 1925. It was donated to the Museum of Fine Arts in 1948, but was then sold to Gus Wortham in 1951. Lyndall Wortham bequeathed the house to the University of Houstonon her death in July 1980 to be used as a residence for the University President. This building is now named Wortham House. - 3612 Parkwood, Houston, TX 77021" - Wikipedia
  11. Nancy mentioned that this should be the tallest residential tower in Houston. This may have been based solely off of the # of stories, but I suspect she got that tidbit from the developer. 502 feet? Either way, 500 feet will LOOK much taller in this location than 1PP does.
  12. My buddy had a trailer barbeque put stolen a few years back. There was video evidence, am eye witness and the guy who sole it still lived there. Nothing ever happened
  13. Anybody know why I wouldn't be able to see the picture, keep refreshing. No working.
  14. Anybody hear if they have any movement on the retail spots below the new Post section. It looks ready to go. I am also wondering what is going on with the newly renovated, empty Scout Square building.
  15. I was at a speaking event for the Camden CEO about 3 years ago. He was vehement about no retail in the bottom of his developments in Houston.
  16. I see it every morning, I think it is looking great. I didn't realize they were pulling down the old facade. They are moving fairly quick, save for the staggered north-west corner.
