  1. They are in the planning stages on it still. They had a bunch of meetings all last week about it.
  2. I can only assume the building will be on the northern side. Views of downtown trump midtown.
  3. By the numbers, from 2000 to 2011: 102.9 percent, the increase in the number of poor in Houston suburbs, 36.6 percent, the increase in the number of poor within Houston's city limits, 40.1 percent, overall suburban population growth, 6.5 percent, overall population growth in the city, Source: Data from 2000 to 2011 in Confronting Suburban Poverty Read more: http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Poverty-on-the-rise-in-Houston-suburbs-4529783.php#ixzz2TxkVa2l2

  5. Those are pretty great. Good argument for or against people who want to 'preserve the character' of neighborhoods. Yes neighborhoods get ripped out and decimated, but, at one point fairly recently, most of the spots you think of as having one character, probably were completely different.
  6. Right, but how do you suggest making that compromise? I assume it is not the OTC owners or employees throwint their trash there or yelling on their walk to the car. How should they go about stopping people leaving their place from throwing trash?
  7. You don't need to post in crazy font. Your tone in your first two posts is enough.
  8. 100% behind this idea. If vines and ivy and crap wouldn't completely ruin everything it could look pretty cool grown around the steel.
  9. Centrally located is what I took from it.
  10. The Wallstreet article is better, I agree. I am fine with the move, but I think the guy makes some pretty stupid comments. He didn't make his money by making stupid decisions, but comments may be another story.
  11. They have completed the fortification of the new concrete liner on the inside of the walls and taken down all of the scaffolding that was there. Obviously they are still way behind schedule but it is still progressing.
  12. He is sounding like a certified prick. The team may be privately owned but the stadium that you play in isn't. Now I want to pull down those stupid banners he added in the left field view more. I am fine with the strategy of getting younger, but Crane is handling it like a D-Bag.
  13. The flier says something like 'unparalleled tunnel access.'
  14. I live right by Majorca. I had never seen more than 6 or 7 people there at a time before this weekend. I decided to try it out on Sunday. Holy God. The place had so many people that they basically fashioned us a table out of spare parts.
  15. Pouring the player's tunnel. They had pictures up yesterday on their Facebook page. I will post then here when I get a chance.
  16. This serves the midtown market too with the proximity. There will not be one in Regent Square AND one in Midtown.
  17. It is one or the other. They say that Crosspoint has delayed on the construction in Midtown and so they are going here. The Midtown location sounds dead.
  18. Farrago does pretty awesome business. I always see it full, especially on weekends.
  19. I emailed the author to find out if the Alamo CEO had specifically mentioned it and he apparently hadn't (although he hadn't been asked, so no indication either way). You may notice I want an Alamo Drafthouse next to me. LOVE peeing during movies. But for real.
  20. Did the Randall's employee who was forced to play tag with a bum holding a knife the other day not have Jesus in his life? I got scared the other day when a pissing bum yelled at me that he would kill me, but that was because I didn't want to have bum aids in my life. That is one of the worst kinds of aids.
