  1. First time I've seen this rendering. It looks like they've started working on the two "wrap" apartments. It's handsome in a suburban way. Quite frankly I'm more impressed with its southerly neighbor.
  2. Bio Corridor has a sign now and a few cool-for-College-Station buildings, but still mostly grass.
  3. I don't think it's so bad. The grass is always greener, and sadly we saw a rendering of the grass.
  4. I apologize for my ignorance of the whole scheme, but I'm wondering, in layman's terms, if the Pierce Elevated is demolished what then? Underground highway encircling downtown, and then a large boulevard over it? An argument on the "Australian's" thread over if the Pierce Elevated deters construction, I'd like to say it may be an extraordinarily handsome road if it were a tree-lined boulevard, ripe for even greater development.
  5. If the apartments were five and a half times bigger it would have a Frasier type balcony view.
  6. At least this one is right on the straight line of Main street. In fact, I think it would give the whole downtown-medical district a sort of centripetal cohesion, pulling towards the roundabout.
  7. Tear down the Target and replace the entire thing with a park (of hey, multicolored crepe myrtles.) Tear down the townhouses and built another line of towers while we're just naming fantasies.
  8. I don't mean to offend, but, boy I wish this floating cube straddled Main in Midtown.
  9. From a purely practical standpoint, increased-footage first units would seem fantastic. Maybe with a door open to the street? Security-wise it's the same thing.
  10. I wonder if any of the units are supposed to just step out to the pool or if they're supposed to be frustrated by glass and a hedge.
  11. I grew up in Pasadena. This...seems...right.
  12. As a thin, young, white person my answer is: much cheaper places.
  13. Yeah, but that Rice Hotel shade of chestnut, right?
