zaphod
Interesting development, this is good infill for a suburban location. Not all the units have garage parking, but it sounds like the ones that do would have it almost attached to the building then?
mattyt36
Well the writing is as soulless as the community will inevitably end up being.

thedistrict84
Does anyone know what was built on this site before? The existing roadways seem to suggest some sort of commercial use. I'm really not very familiar with that side of town aside from using the trails near Terry Hershey Park. (Edit: were topics merged here? When I made this comment the title was just the Dearwood address, and Paco’s comment was the first.) Texasota
From old aerials it looks like it was an office building with a little water feature and lots of surface parking. I like this development, but it really would have benefited from some retail. Just a little bit, to make it work as this enclave almost detached from the surrounding neighborhoods. And, given the relatively high density between the Beltway and the neighborhood to the west, *something* within walking distance would be really nice.

H-Town Man
Couldn't have expected anything too special here, it's sandwiched between garden apartments and has Beltway 8 in front of it. Seems pretty nice for what it is.

The acclaimed hospitality concept, co-founded by homegrown operator Mazen Baltagi of Chapman & Kirby, Mi Luna and Christian’s Tailgate, is planning a spring 2024 debut in a location developed by the real estate arm of Houston-based McNair Interests.
