Looks like this got a fresh scrub. Imagine it was for the Houston Open?

I still say this sign/monument makes absolutely no sense facing this way...they should have made it face traffic each way...driving past you can't read the almost invisible lettering as it is (maybe at least light it up so there would be shadows on the name or something similar?)

Where is that monument?  I’ve never even seen it.  Is it a new addition to the park?

no that is the thing...it's been there a year or more haha! it is so nondescript and boring that you just pass it by....

it is at the east end of the park on Memorial right near the Terrace Drive intersection (for reference it is near The Sophie at 6017 Memorial Drive)

As stated in the posted above, the running complex opens this Saturday (tomorrow). The running complex also compromises of an event space, viewing deck, and more trials! A cafe is also planned near the complex that will open in early 2024.

According to sign permits filed yesterday, the cafe opening at the Memorial Park Running Complex is Vibrant. I think this is the same health-forward restaurant located at 1931 Fairview St in Montrose.

Vibrant's address is listed as 7575 N Picnic Lane, Building B.

The following permits were filed yesterday:

  • Sign plan review
  • Sign site inspections

Details from the permit:

  • Use: New wall 10x4 Vibrant / New projecting 3x3 Vibrant

  • FCC Group: On premise; new sign; wall; internal light / On premise; new sign; projecting; internal light

Vibrant recently opened its new outpost at 7575 N Picnic Lane, Building B.  The health-forward restaurant is located in the Memorial Park Running Complex.

Vibrant's original location is in Montrose at 1931 Fairview St in Montrose.

CultureMap published an article yesterday on the new location:

Schaum Architects designed the location to fit the park’s natural surroundings. Vibrant founder Kelly Barnhart worked with the firm on some of the interior details.
