I still say this sign/monument makes absolutely no sense facing this way...they should have made it face traffic each way...driving past you can't read the almost invisible lettering as it is (maybe at least light it up so there would be shadows on the name or something similar?)

Where is that monument? I’ve never even seen it. Is it a new addition to the park?
gene
no that is the thing...it's been there a year or more haha! it is so nondescript and boring that you just pass it by.... it is at the east end of the park on Memorial right near the Terrace Drive intersection (for reference it is near The Sophie at 6017 Memorial Drive)

gene
so i ride my bike just for fun daily from the galleria to downtown and back after work (5pm) and then on the weekends usually in the morning like 8 or 9am... I just think it is so weird that https://www.wearevibrant.com/location/vibrant-memorial-park/ is only open from 7am to 4pm daily. That completely knocks out a huge percentage of the population (the 9-5 worker) by closing so early...i don't see how this is sustainable...i just don't see this place staying open for long unless they add a couple to few extra hours to their closing time. (7am to 7pm would be good in my opinion)...an example is Becks Prime Memorial Park is open 6am to 10pm daily. (and yes i realize this is a busier area but cannot even compare these 2 businesses really and not even saying they should be open that late) The running area, the picnic loop and more are all thriving after work hours so hopefully one day they either extend their new hours or someone else takes over and takes advantage of this beautiful new building in such a great location! vent over haha ;) 1 1
