Montrose1100
Speaking of numbers, a long time guilty pleasure is the song "Warm Leatherette". Every time I hear it I picture the video montage they play at numbers, which is a mix of car crashes and people snorting Ajax. Also is the visual of the guy in the long leather trench coat who just stands there to twirl.
Montrose1100
relive my a**.....this is perpetual youth young man!Does perpetual youth retire in the Woodlands? Bam... Subdude
Tom Tom club doesn't count as a guilty pleasure - they were great!
KinkaidAlum
There is NOTHING tragic about Numbers. Maybe you meant MAGICal? Purity Ring is good. CHVRCHES is solid. So much good alternative/synth coming out right now. Makes this 80s kids quite happy. My favorite "guilty pleasure" is Boytronic and their song "You!"
crunchtastic
I am compelled to cast my guilty pleasure club vote for Rich's. It was so big and new at the time, and the bathrooms always seemed cleaner. Call me high maintenance, but clean matters when doing coke in bathrooms.wow, Boytronic, ditto on that one. Major guilty pleasures of me and my childhood BFF was Yaz and Tones on Tail (Go!) especially when we were getting ready to go out.

According to Redscare it apparently first enters a period of pre-retirement in the Heights, where it builds man-cave garages and takes up bicycling.
Montrose1100
Here's another synth pop for you guys! This one is quite awful. I accidentally discovered it under "suggested" for the CHVRCHES video. I love the music video, it's so weird, that its actually cool. I only love the song because of the video. And I tried showing it to some of my friends but all of their reactions were the same... "I can never get that 6 minutes of my life back". Lol they don't understand fashion & art, so I have forgiven them. Edited September 12, 2013 by Montrose1100

august948
Good Day HAIF. I was just curious about some of you folks, and what might be a guilty pleasure like a movie or a song that you probably shouldn't like, but do. I'm not expecting anything creepy like "I'm 45 years old and "Wheels on the bus" is my favorite song, listen to it everyday!" Just maybe a current pop song that is stuck in your head or a pretty awful movie that you might be ashamed to admit you have it on DVD, Blue-Ray, and Digital Copy. So, spill the beans. I can honestly say that I'm 45 and sing Wheels on the Bus on a regular basis...but then I've got a 2-year old daughter. Don't know if this counts as a guiltly pleasure, but I haven't been able to get this one out of my head since I first saw it...someone please help.... august948
If I listed all of my guilty pleasures I would no doubt come off as a whack job, but I will admit to an occasional weakness for ABBA. I've actually had a running argument about their greatness with some friends for decades now. And James Bond movies, of course! ABBA rocks. No shame in that.
crunchtastic
I can't say I'm guilty about it, but I am frequently mocked for my thing for Jason Statham movies. And yes I watched Expendables 2 the first day it appeared on the Netflix stream. OK a little guilty about that.

Montrose1100
Robyn was the first CD I ever bought back in the 90's. I still love her newer simple pop music. "dancing on my own" (forget which remix) was on the top of the dance charts a couple years ago. Great album!
LarryDierker
"Dancing on my own" is awesome and i'm straight. Should my gf start worrying? Edited September 21, 2013 by LarryDierker
KinkaidAlum
"Dancing on my own" is awesome and i'm straight. Should my gf start worrying? Ha. Yes. After forcing myself to watch that entire video, your girlfriend should definitely be worried. I am a gay dude and have done many gay things, but watching that video might have been the gayest thing I have ever done. And now I am going to head to a corner and dance on my own... Montrose1100
Just wanted to share 3 songs I've been listening to on repeat all day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKHZcQF9g1g"Dreams" - Taken by Trees Pretty mellow and relaxing. I like the music video, puts me in a good mood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXwYJyrKK5A"What you know" - Two Door Cinema Club This is the one I blast in the car really loud. The music video kinda sucks IMO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TLCkIGV2mw"Sunlight" - Bag Raiders. Big guilty pleasure. I jam to this one after a glass of wine when i'm home by myself. Music video is kinda weird but oh well.

Montrose1100
I listen to the Exotica/Lounge station on pandora at work. I discovered a Houston native - Kate Edmonson, her cover of "Summertime" is awesome if you like jazzy/lounge music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M2Z23BPOtw I tried looking her on up on social media but it seems she is in the shadows.
John Rich
I was just curious about some of you folks, and what might be a guilty pleasure like a movie or a song that you probably shouldn't like, but do.There's no reason to feel guilty about liking something. Enjoy it. Who cares what other people think of what you like. It's none of their business. Like what you like, and don't let peer pressure make you believe you shouldn't. Don't be guilty, be happy.
towerjunkie
I like watching classic films. I also watch movies from today so it's not entirely odd. I'm 17 so my family views it with extreme peculiarity. I constantly explain to them that these films have a lot of things today's films don't have. That is talent! I don't know why but the music always gets me when I watch these films, I literally have a playlist devoted to film scores. Enough with my rambling.
