Most Hated People

Ptarmigan

Recommended Posts

What's the point of this thread? To make people hate more? To remind them to hate? To give people a reason to hate?

Isn't there enough hatred in the world and on the internet without creating any more?

This applies to all of the political hatred out there: don't hate elected officials for believing or doing what they do. They're only mortals. Hate the folks who voted for them.

And as for the pundits/entertainers/clowns, don't hate them; they also are only mortals. They happen to be well-spoken and some people find them entertaining. There are innumerable basically-anonymous others like them without a channel to read the public. Hate the media executives that enable them. Or just recognize that they're only pandering to elements within society that already generally agree with them, acting as a mirror to our own society. It's also helpful to remember that individuals can appreciate an entertainer's work without necessarily becoming sheeple. The 'magic bullet' theory of communication is a load of bunk.

^I submit this to you all in a bipartisan way. ;)

...and for your reference to Phil Collins... we shall all now suffer:

1999. 10 years ago. Oh Lord... to think if he is still singing this song...

I clicked 'PLAY' just to see if it was that song. It was, and now I hate you for it.

There. I said it. I hate BryanS. :)

Don't forget Dubya...

After today, the liberals and democrats won't be able to blame Dubya anymore.

Who will they blame when the financial crises doesn't get any better?

Who will they blame when Israelis and Palestinians continue to fight?

Who will they blame when they can't get the troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan on schedule?

Who will they blame when the Social Security system continues to go bankrupt?

Who will they blame when Iran continues to threaten Israel and the United States?

Who will they blame when the government doesn't provide free health care to all citizens?

Who will they blame when global warming continues to increase?

Who will they blame when gasoline prices go up?

THEY own the House of Representatives.

THEY own the Senate.

THEY own the Presidency.

THEY own the Cabinet.

Who will they blame?

Shrub.

Hey, why not? The Republican majority in Congress, the Bush White House, and the conservative pundits kept blaming everything on Clinton, after all.

That's not true...

And blame should go to all those that helped/forced a ton of bad policy and decisions over the years - policies that were detrimental to citizens and will continue to be for many, many years.

People will blame Obama for not fixing everything (because he can't in his term, no matter how long it may be) - but hopefully he will start turning the gears in a positive direction...

Oh, goody. One of my favorite things--an FNG wasting no time in Way Off Topix.

Most hated people:

Dubya

Conservatives

Republicans

Christians

There. Is that better for you?

Yes, that's a much more constructive dialog. <sarcasm>

But wait, let's try some logic. Why are people hated? Because they're to blame for things that have gone wrong. So blame and hate go together. That's why some people hate President Bush, because he is perceived as being to blame for everything that has gone wrong.

Thus, we can now jump forward to the new Obama administration. Now that there aren't any republicans or conservatives in leadership positions any more upon whom blame can be heaped, and to despise for what has gone wrong, upon whom will the liberals and democrats now heap blame and hate when their own policies fail?

Maybe you should try judging posts by their facts and logic, rather than by the number of overall posts they've made.

Judge a man's messages by his quality, not by his quantity.

John Osteen. For buying a great concert venue (The Summit) and turning it into a Godatorium.

Jim McIngvale. Although he has proved to be a great philanthropist for Houston, in the 70's he owned a failed health club business. My wife and I gave him $25 for an advanced membership. It never opened and we never got back our $25.

Quanell X. For being more racist than any of the white people he hates.

I have. By reading this thread, I have been able to determine that you're a new guy who wants to give his political opinion. If you want to call it logic, that's fine too. We've already beaten that horse to death. Sorry, but nothing in this thread or your post is adding anything to that conversation.

However, I do look forward to your other insights on HAIF topics. I mean that sincerely.

My list is of people that I hate and you can see that it was bipartisan.

I debated about including Quanell X on that list, but as of late, he seems to be changing course on his hatred and seems to be maturing. While initially I couldn't STAND the man, I have to reevaluate him.

In fact, he was in the Houston Press this past week, after reading most of that article, I am going to give him a pass and I don't do that to people very often.

Nice to see he is finally trying to help his own race instead of blaming everything on whites but doesn’t change the fact that he’s a racist.

Your original descritpion of me was "FNG", or "f--king new guy". It's nice of you to now sweeten that up without the profanity. Perhaps that's a recognition that you now realize that wasn't very proper. Maybe if you had done that in the first place, it wouldn't have raised my hackles in response.

But now that we've eliminated the profanity, there's still the phrase "new guy". What does that mean, exactly? Why do you bother to point that out? Is there something less valuable about the opinions of new guys? If you were King of this forum, would there be some mandatory number of postings required before you would give credence to someone's points?

Once again, newness means nothing. Judge a man by what he says, not how long he's been around.

Because if you want to go that route, we can talk about how little worldly political experience the new President of the United States has. So which way do you want to go?

Not to speak for my buddy crunch, but I suspect that she was commenting on the fact that you are not the first person to post inflammatory political rhetoric on this forum, nor will you be the last. But, since you chose to go into a subject matter of which the "oldtimers" have long since tired...in your first half dozen posts, no less...there was the predictable groaning and eye rolling amongst many of the more seasoned forumers. Let's face it, you didn't exactly break new ground here. But, around here, we do respect your right to say what's on your mind. We might even get dragged into responding to it. And, there are certainly several posters who would agree with you.

Enjoy your stay at HAIF. If you need me, I'll be over at the "cyclists are evil" thread.

Crunch's invitation to contribute to other threads was genuine. I invite you to do the same. You see, we're not primarily about the topics you have decided to jump into, and that was essentially her intent, as Red pointed out. Not necessarily... I have heard many conservatives over the past few years claim that Bush inherited all of our problems from Clinton, so Liberals can just say everything is still Bush's fault... it's great!! :D

Hey, I actually saw that interview tonight, too. And, I guess that's all you took away from the piece.

What I heard him say was that if Obama sticks to a sound financial plan to help out America, he hopes he succeeds.

If Obama instead wants to try a "New Deal" form of Socialism, he wants him to fail, as Socialism doesn't work.

I thought the funnier part came later when Fran Drescher announced that she wants Hillary Clinton's Senate seat. ;)

Teletubbies (downright creepy)

You're watching it wrong. Here's the right way: spend the night at a rave, mix real acid with real ecstasy, drink plenty of water, come home at 6am, and watch the Teletubbies while listening to Harold Budd. They aren't creepy; they're transformative.

All clay-mation (worn out) films

You can't be hating on Gumby. If you have a heart then Gumby's a pal for you, and if he's in your heart, then he's actually a part of you. Dig it. Like, we're all made of clay.

Because he's filled with hate... hate is very Un-American.

And if we hate the hate then the terrorists win.

Actually, hate is very American. Americans have been hating for 232 years. We've turned it into an art form...or at least into a radio show.

Although I agree with you that many Americans hate, it's still my belief that "hating" is Un-American. -_-
