    come to think of it, for the last few work nights, i haven;t seen anyone pissing on the sidewalk on the way to the parking lot, haven't heard anyone screaming at the top of their lungs, nor have I seen any of the smoking hot chicks that used to frequent Gertners...

    one of my clients lives directly in the noontime shadow of the Ashby high rise. I suggested he buy the land it's going to be built on if he wants to stop the project.

    It wasn't. to build a hotel or residential, parts of the Pavilions would have to be torn down. (I won't call it by the new name)

    all of the signs advertising the launch party for Pavilions on Thursday have a black line through the words Houston Pavilions.... look for Magic Johnson's people to rebrand the thing

    we have a supertall whose height was limited by the FAA because of Hobby's runways.

    does Gensler still have the model of the BOTSW tower in their lobby? That was bad assed the last time I saw it (about 20 years ago)

    I call this the Bad Romance Building- here's why. The Lady Gaga song Bad Romance sounds like six different songs all mishmashed into one, like a bunch of people butted heads and wouldn't give in on not having their part included in the song. So, they drew parts out of a hat, stitched it together, and put it on the radio. Pop music consumers ate it up. This building has all it's different disjointed parts mishmashed together into one building just like Bad Romance. (whoever had the idea of having SIX facades on one building should have been fired from the project!)

    I just got the invitation to this. I'm going to see if I can hide somewhere rather than work this... lol (I work at a place in the soon to be renamed Pavilions)

    I installed a couple of TV's for a client who started moving their stuff in there last week, so, some units are already available

    from what I heard second hand, Alamo hasn't finalized their Midtown or Montrose location yet.

    Struts was at I-45 and Aldine Bender in the northwest corner of the intersection. I did many, many shows there with lots of local bands

    there is YouTube video of Zeppelin at The Coliseum. There's no sound on the video other than Zeppelin tracks someone added to it, but, they were definitely at The Coliseum!
