Traffic; it's getting worse. Have you noticed?
sevfiv replied to a topic in Traffic and Transportation
i have noticed the traffic on 59 heading north on many occasions, usually while on kirby, shepherd, or somewhere around there. looks terrible! thank goodness i don't take freeways anymore (except to get out of town). -
steinberg designed it...i'm not too impressed with their other stuff (the calais, ventana, left bank, etc). seems like standard run of the mill complexes it would be awesome if someone could get their hands on wilshire village and "purty it up." such a neat place, especially in terms of complexes... such a shame it is in its current condition

yeah, it was disappointing that there was nowhere in houston that had the right (and enough) resources to step up to the plate and care for them. seems a little hard to believe, but money is apparently better spent elsewhere

from the article: "You know, we are very tenuous," says local architect Ann Surchin. "No one knows when the next 9/11 will happen. And these houses represent safety -- and the bigger the house, the bigger the fortress." with everything taken into consideration, just sounds like bad cases of affluenza

tag line: Learn the truth about urban sprawl, land use, suburbia, automobile addiction, active living, the sprawl industry, the sprawl lobby, and the Healthy Places alternative to sprawl to improve your quality of life and physical and mental health. Help spread the sprawl kills idea virus. The sprawl culture has eroded quality of life, quality of place, and the health of Americans through sloth and gluttony. Kill sprawl before sprawl kills you -- now there's a call for battle to rattle sprawl. Sprawl is really killing people, and a lot more. Sprawl is killing our natural environment, rural lifestyles, our quality of life, our time, our social capital, the very fabric of American society. http://www.sprawlkills.com/

Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza At 6400 Fannin St.
sevfiv replied to YakuzaIce's topic in Texas Medical Center
i saw the lights last night, too...however, there was no movement - just pink, and a tinge of blue/purple on the edge. the night before i swear it was all blue - probably in the "test" phase, though like the building in general, i think it's tacky- 111 replies
