  1. has anyone else noticed that a high number of threads have turned into booby themes lately?
  2. I'm embarassed to say, I've made quite a few finds at the dump. I'll admit, a majority of the stuff isn't any cheaper than you would get anywhere else (same with gallery, that place really is a dump). but, if you dig, and are willing to keep going back till you find what you are looking for, you might get lucky. i got a nice sofa from foleys about 4 years ago, and it is still going strong. I only paid about 700 for it. the storehouse outlet is the BEST, but, also, hit or miss.
  3. if you search photo, there is an old thread about it...but I still haven't figured out how to post pictures bigger than a postage stamp...so if you figure it out, I would love the tip!
  4. um, women just like you I imagine. I got news for you buddy, women like to hang out just like men do. that doesn't mean they are out to snag you plus, Any gold digger worth her salt would not frequent establishments that are open to everyone and full of young professionals who are just starting out.
  5. So, I went into the one in Montrose the other weekend...expecting something really neat and exciting based on this thread....um....there was nothing there but cheap jersey knits in overly bright colors. Great for 13 year olds of all types, but what kind of success will this have dowtown??? I'm all for retail coming in, but will this just be an empty store in 6 months? Scaring other retailers away? I know, these companies know far more than me, but I just don't get it...
  6. oh, okay good. i feared you were making a rash decision about an entire town. that is sufficient.
  7. agree. but dfw versus houston is always a fun lunchtime distraction
  8. good point. if Houston is obliterated, it would be HORRIBLE for Dallas to to have to take in any chaos they don't want
  9. alternate defintion: piles of left over re-enforcing bar that is sitting all twisted up along the sides of studewood rusting in the rain and anxiously awaiting unsuspecting bike riders/dogs/tires/kids.
  10. okay, I'm TRYING not to post, but I just can't help it. Can you please tell me how an entire thread on the socio-economics of an area can possible be determined by a three hour drive through the commercial area of a town?
  11. HAHA! I almost his "post" on the same thing yesterday in the woodland heights BB's. I haven't seen ANY work done, its a good thing Red has I guess, someone to continue the urban myth. The work below 11th has stopped as well, at least it is open, but far from "complete".
  12. LMAO! Poor fella, you went through all of that! ah well, at least you didn't start trying to incubate it
  13. Someone please tell me I saw that wrong. Yesterday I'm pretty sure I saw that the debauchery that was once Mary's Mural has been painted over!!! That is awful! Does anyone know the story? Is Mary's still open (I saw someone go in). I don't live in Montrose anymore, so I rarely see it, but I used to drive past it every day and get such a kick out of that mural!
  14. ummm...if the case is bad, it is going to STINK! here's an article on candling (or just search "candling eggs")...maybe you can check to see http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/eggs/res26-candling.html
  15. according to this VERY interesting abstract, depending on the ambient temperature, it could have made it...(I'm surprised actually) http://www.esajournals.org/esaonline/?requ...ue=08&page=2164
  16. anyone going...don't forget to get out of the city and go to the little towns out on the west end of the island along the lac st louis. st anne de bellvue, baidurfe....and other's I can't remember now...cute cute cute!!!
  17. I would call that place on westheimer and dunlavy with the mod furniture, some of it looks refinished, they can probably recommend someone.
  18. don't feel too bad. an egg left alone like that most likely would have been "ruined" already.

Man Kim! You've got quite the memory!!!!
  20. I just read on Houstonist that this is back on for this weekend.
  21. http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/natural...ragebasics.html Funny, I work with numbers for this gas every day, but I never think of it as an actual location...neat that you do.

Walt is not on the boat with Michael. Henry says "walt joined us" and "goodbye michael" and everyone's reactions...I think Michael is delusional. I think I was right in an earlier prediction that Henry needed the button to go off...I think it was so the supplies could be delivered. I don't think anything can go in or out without the button not being pushed. Maybe a fail safe mecanism in case the button pushers died??? The rich girl...I'm thinking again that the experiment is to talk to dead people and that she knows that and thinks desmond is dead, and is just trying to find a way to talk to him, not knowing that he is alive..... I don't think the foot is a foot. I think it is a hand, knuckles down, minus thumb... why would only one other (tom) be in disguise...why not the rest of them? I think I'm starting to go through withdrawl already....
  23. OH! THIS is that place. I thought about it, remembered the thread, but from the outside, you can't tell at all that it is a photography studio.
  24. Montreal is SUCH a great city! Thanks for posting the memories...
