  1. I liked how the our skatepark has Downtown as the backdrop.
  2. Its good that were getting specialized exhibits, i look at other zoos and they have these big corporate-sponsored exhibits. We deserve something along those lines, don't we? Also according to the Chron...
  3. Yes, but maybe we need that stimulus money to continue our "better shape". Bringing up the issue of the officer's over-time money, I'm sure that's one way we could've benefited.
  4. I would prefer Reliant Stadium, maybe this will make getting a soccer-specific stadium seem like a necessity.
  5. I also read that Pittsburgh and NYC were not given stimulus money. A Yahoo News Article said Houston was one of 4 "big" cities not given this money
  6. I searched for a thread directly named Pearland Park & Ride, and found nothing, which surprised me. Anyways, it might've been discussed, so i apologize in advance if its been posted before. According to some blog in the Chron http://blogs.chron.com/pearlandroadwarrior/2009/07/post_3.html
  7. I got another rendering from the Chron. Same story, really. Just thought this was more interesting. http://www.chron.com...ws/6549428.html
  8. We have to keep in mind that it's the Top10 for Kids, so kids might like it better than adults. Also, that zoo has had new exhibits open since 2006.
  9. I know, that's why i listed both in my post as zoos that i thought were in the top 25.
  10. It's a bit old, but i couldn't find it in the forum so i thought better late than never. It was from the May 2009 Issue of Parents Magazine. Below a press release from the Houston Zoo. In addition to the Top 10 Best Zoos for Kids featured in the magazine, fifteen runners-up are posted on www.parents.com/topzoos. The San Antonio Zoo also made it (ahead of Houston). I only looked at the top 10, though, so i dont know about others like Dallas,Ft. Worth, etc.
  11. Its a little weird.. At first, i expected citizens to contribute and say if its F/Fic Instead, the city controls it. Sure its more than likely that itll be true. But really, your just reading what the city wants you to read.. Whatever, just my 2 cents.
  12. a little corny.... not sure what to think of the video
  13. You should cut your losses...but then if i had put half as much effort to create them, i wouldn't do away with them... On the subject of participation, i'd look into the site.
  14. who said you won?? Thank You For All The Responses. Ill take most of them into consideration
  15. I think its a great idea, my only conscern, not that it matters, but you asked for an opinion, is about site activity, specifically forum activity. Most of your sites, although informative, lack active forum activity. At least last time i checked. Take for example Southland Arch. , isnt this the newest site? Yet things haven't picked up... Would a dallas site be a waste? Over time i think it will be a mini-HAIF, the question is how long.. Good luck in your future endeavors, Editor...
  16. Pasadena Citizen "County seeks bids for new annex The aging collection of north Pasadena buildings that comprise Harris County Courthouse Annex 4 and related offices will soon be replaced with a spacious new building on Richey Street at Highway 225. Construction is budgeted to cost about $16.8 million. The building will be named for local businessman John Phelps, and could be ready for opening by the fall of 2010." http://www.hcnonline...house_annex.txt http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k353/northbayoukid/other things/071609_courthouse_annex1.jpg
