  1. thank you, but the blog says This could mean in a specific area, as you pointed out, or the whole museum district..... so that is why i asked.... thank you, nonetheless...
  2. Lake Charles? you'd think New Orleans... Lake Charles is nice, but the bigger destination is N.O., right?
  3. well know in a few days, what the final floor count is.....and i think 360 ft is far-fetched.... isnt the typical floor height 8-12 ft for office buildings, if not, im close anyways...
  4. Bottom line is, its great that retail space is being taken by office use because it looks like this is the best-case scenario... I personally could walk plenty of blocks, but Houston never was a walking-oriented city or pedestrian-oriented....so this should come to no surprise, and thank you for the hyperbole.....
  5. thank you! not to mention that HP is 3 blocks long(excluding garage), so it can be up to 4 blocks away...
  6. yes i did go to the link, but are these just around the Museum of Fine Arts, or all around the Museum District? If its just by the museum, than im ok with it, you know art by the art museum fits. BUT if its everywhere, thats a different story.....
  7. santa elena, mexico? in yucatan?
  8. imo, i dont like it..... if they were looking to do a "latin-american" twist, it should be in the east end, not in the museum district... and im mexican so i mean no offense.... and from the pic in the blog, it looks irish to me
  9. i like it because black&white fits BoA center well.
  10. This MSNBC article points out that So it is the recession that kept citizens in Chicago to stay, and higher births. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31669241/ns/bu...ss-us_business/
  11. exactly, if new tenants were signing on every month, this would be sad news, but since this is not the case, its better to fill up the space that nobody is using. besides one can argue that since 1000 people are moving in, this helps by expanding the customer base.....more people, more money being spent.
  12. no.10 was san antonio, and it said "there might not be a ton of entertainment options here", i thought there was a lot to do there, at least more than houston(minus the sports and museums) did they mean the nightlife?
  13. yeah he had a 3 year old daughter, and a 20 year old step-son
  14. yeah theres already a thread.....in the TMC sub-forum heres the link http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/in...?showtopic=8264 but yes usually TMC projects never get posted her on "Going Up"
  15. have been watching "Americas Got Talent" where they do auditions in Wortham Center in Downtown. Ive been watching the shows, but maybe ive missed some, but they do show about 5 seconds in the 1st episode showcasing all the audition cities where they go up then down from downtown to a crowd shouting "Houston's Got Talent!" Have they aired the Houston auditions, yet? or did they pass?
  16. i like the faster load time, as ive mentioned before, but i actually wanted to look at most of these pics in a larger frame, so i had to click on them more than i wanted too, good 4 u, bad 4 me....
  17. i guess haif'ers are going to start using video as well as photos for construction progress now.....
  18. thank god, i didnt have to wait for this to load, if i wanted to view it larger, i just clicked on it.... like the pics.
  19. some people don't have internet/access to internet or newspapers to look at? I have internet, obviously, but watch it so i don't become an internet addict. It's whatever's more convenient at the time for me. TV Station's web sites have the same story online and on-air, except maybe links. If you really want more depth, you have to go to newspaper's websites. I frequent hcnonline.com for the Pasadena Citizen, and chron.com As for TV Station News, I watch FOX 26 and ABC 13, sometimes channel2 and CW39
