    Well the so called "fake" beaches are so much more beautiful to look at and more comfortable to lay out on, too... just my opinion.

    http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=...&id=5275280 If this city has any brains they would do anything and everything to not only build a Stadium IN Houston... but also to build it Downtown or very close to Downtown. They were smart to build Minute Maid Park and the Toyota Center Downtown... Reliant stadium is ok where it is, at least it's along the rail. Houston has been trying to make it's inner core, particularly Downtown, more "urban" where people come to live, work, play, etc.... well here is a chance to bring another place to Downtown where people can play! The parking lots where they want to build the Stadium are leased to the Astros... and even they want the Soccer Stadium to be built there!! Don't let f'ing Sugarland get the soccer stadium. Let's not be like Dallas and have one of our major sports teams play OUTSIDE of our city!

    There is... maybe that one is closing. I guess having two in that area wouldn't be a bad thing... the one on Heights BLVD serves people in the Heights north of I10 and this other one will serve people south of I10 or people just shopping in that area or driving by on the freeway. I guess we will see.

    Yea I can understand why they would be closed one or two days a week... it just seems that a lot are closed on Mondays. Maybe that's the day of the week they would get the least amount of visitors.

    Really? What kind of museuem? I mean, I figure it has something to do w/ aviation... but just general aviation, Houston aviation?

    I have not driven by in a while... I'll have to take a quick stroll Downtown tomorrow to take a look at all of the projects and see how they are coming along. I can't wait until One Park Place starts to RISE!

    They won't be abandoned for much longer! Not w/ HP opening soon. That area is going to become PRIME for development.

    That's great what they are trying to do for Downtown.. but I hope they allow at least some bars/clubs to open up there... you need a good mixture. And as for "give it another 10 years"... I think we only need about 5 years until DT is an exciting community.

    HP is supposed to open around October of next year... I guess we will see.

    I am also a supporter... but I am also a bit disappointed in not only the stores chosen for the complex (except Target, of course), but also in the speed in which they are building everything. At least the lofts are going up... those are going to be nice when they are finished.

    Another tall crane up on the middle lot... that makes 3 cranes all together up at HP.

    Well someone needs to edit the HP Wiki entry. It says HP is "proposed"... when it's under construction. Also, the construction dates are wrong.

    2nd crane is up on the middle lot... this one is taller than the first one that went up since it's for the office tower I am guessing.
