  1. Chain BBQ in Houston. Memphis style, no less. Disaster.
  2. The hype in 2004 was more than Super Bowl drama. Houston had a new light rail systems, its second new staidum in a few years, and a clened-up downtown with lots of action.
  3. Sure are, but did you really think Indy would beat Big D-MC-FW? D-MC-FW may not get another one either.
  4. That corporate crap bit the dust. Does this surprise anyone? It was a General Mills chain (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc.) Someone told me they sold donuts.
  5. Don't count on Houston getting another Super Bowl. Something about McNair vs. the small club owners. I forget all the details, but they don't get along due to some funding scheme.
  6. This survey would make more sense if you solicited feedback from architect's customers instead of architects.

    OPEC

This one is too easy to figure out. A Michigan Dem sponsors the bill knowing Bush will veto. A Bush veto in favor of OPEC is great campaign material for the Dems. The Reps play along and vote for it also knowing Bush will veto. The Reps are so scared they can't be seen as supporting OPEC. Bush vetos, all our time is wasted.
  8. Knowing Los Cucos, the guac is hot, since their food is always cold. I spit in their general direction!
  9. But they have good guac. Our secretary brings it in for team meetings. I have not been in the restaurant in a long time.
  10. Another: It's a Bloody Mary morning, Baby left me without warning Sometime in the night So I'm flyin' down to Houston Forgetting her's the nature of my flight - - - Willie Nelson, "Bloody Mary Morning"
  11. Ugh. Then that would mean Pasadena and Clear Creek schools would have to migrate to sloppy ole HISD. Bad idea jeans.

    OPEC

The Dems are all over the place with the Oil Phobia.
  13. Where will ESPN setup shop? They were outside the GRB all week with a view of downtown. I'd ride my bike down there trying to get on TV. Can the Chili's parking lot accomodate ESPN?
  14. Smells like MONEY to me. And Houston's problem is ozone, just the same as the Big D-MIDCITIES-FW.
  15. But if you sell the place, and you know the owner, even when you know it's not that great, to your benefit, then you are a shill. But since you came out and said it ain't that great I'll let you slide. For anyone who likes frozen pineapple soup, this is your place.
  16. Your friend? Then that makes you a shill. Tell Jenni MidtownCoog says she's lost her touch. She should focus on the food, not the mixed tapes, and buy a new microwave so she can perfect her microwave technique. Once you eat a frozen chunk of pineapple you never forget. And I avoid fast food, too.
  17. Every new Yankee in Southeast Texas moves to The Woodlands. No wonder they'd make fun of your boots.
  18. Every city gets the Super Bowl after they build a new stadium. Houston had it in 2004. It's called bribery/blackmail. But it is still in Arlington. How boring. An Arlington, Texas Super Bowl. Maybe after the Super Bowl P. Diddy can throw a party in the Arlington Chili's parking lot. Or maybe On The Border. I think they have a pretty big parking lot. That's going to be awesome!
  19. Jenni's Noodle House!?! That place could choke a Donkey! The only thing funky there is the food. My frozen pineapple chunk was the last straw. Microwaving Mammasan's soups does not fly in my book. And just becuae you play Depeche Mode mixed tapes does make you a cool chef.
  20. <Visual of 58 putting his ear to the hole in the wall to see what all the commotion was>
  21. Yeah, but considring downtown's challenges, I don't know how crazy I'd get with the concept. KISS. In the same building there is supposed to be a future greek place and a chineese place. I think the chineese place may be there now, but I have not seen anything on the greek one. Anybody tried it?
