  1. Watchout for those meat guys with the freezer in the back of their little white trucks. They are members of gang of meth addicted gypsies who freeze their product in diesel fuel. My co-worker in Dallas bought some fish from them, and his entire family got sick.
  2. All nostalgia aside, if Delta can't compete, they shouldn't. The airlines were degregulated a long time ago. Only the fittest will survive.
  3. Some of my favorite quotes are: "I'll never live outside the Loop". and "Some people are inner-loopers for life". Good grief. Gag me with a spoon. Man folks say that, and I often wonder if they realize how silly they sound. And what's funny, some of the best property in Houston is actually outside the Loop (Memorial, etc.).
  4. 59 and little york - I saw that. Talk about destriction. Also on Lake Houston Pkwy - many acres to build a boat storage. It's a shame. Proper planning prevents piss poor performance.
  5. Univision already was over near the old WB Ch 39. I think it's just a move.
  6. High School in Atascocita is going to make for some intresting traffic on the Lake Houston Parkway. I wish they'd leave that land alone. So many nice trees along the lake.
  7. What's more amazing is the transformation of Magnolia. That used to be the country, but not for long.
  8. Ensemble Station should be the epicenter for this type of development. Hope they continue to focus on that area. It has a lot of potential. And what's cool about it is that what's there is "Real Houston". What a great way to start.
  9. I doubt this project will ever take off. Just another wishful press release IMHO. I remember going to Northgate Live for bad music in the early 90s. Not questioning if some have the money, just question how smart they are for spending it that way. B/CS is not exactly a tourist destination. It makes Houston look like NYC.
  10. Some of Bush's decisions have been unpopular with the banner-waving and slogan-shouting "masses", but then leaders have to make tough decisions sometimes. And THAT is precisely what worries me about Kerry.
  11. "weekend home near the Aggie football games" uh, OK - 750K for five or six games?
  12. Go pull a stunt like that at a Kerry/Edwards campaign function and see what happens. Do you serioulsy think they would let you disrupt one of their functions? You'll get to see how free your speech really is. The thing is, the media only reports the evil Bush stories to make Kerry look good. That, and the fact that nobody takes Kerry seriously enought to even protest against him. Things in my America are going great. I am sorry to hear the sad state of affairs in yours. Print It
  13. I thought just the opposite when I lived downtown and worked in The Woodlands.
  14. Is this the site that will house locals only retail?
  15. All of a sudden, it is a crime to speak your mind in public and in light of how much the average person equates arrest with police brutality i'd bet the bush camp just about has everyone scared into keeping their mouth shut if they have a difference of opionion.
  16. Studies are often just that, "studies". Sometimes you make an A, othertimes an F. Midtown had plenty of bus stops before rail. When you get down to it, rail and buses do the same thing. Rail has its place, but we can't just build it becuase "people" want to live near it. The glam factor can be over rated. The train can't take you everywhere.
  17. Summer Wood is nice, and you can put your boat in five minutes from your house. They did a great job keeping the trees. A lot of extra traffic right now, but once the BW is done it'll be easy. Fall Creek is about to double in size and a new golf course is on the way for the Shell Open. The closest master planned community to downtown.
  18. Thanks. I am waiting for the BW8 Westbound connector to 59 South. Now that will move some cars in the morning! US 59 N. is the best road in Houston.
  19. Are there plans to extend BW8 at US 59 to the East? Right now, once you past 59, it's only feeders.
  20. Sounds bogus. Somebody has an agenda. Funny, we have had Park and Rides for ever. Don't people want to live near those, too?
  21. Drive I-45, full of billboards, and then take 288, billboard free. It's a no-brainer. And if Clear Channel is so gracious, they should donte free air time on their 10,000 radio stations.
  22. Can you name the truck with four wheel drive, smells like a steak and seats thirty-five.. Canyonero! Canyonero! Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down, It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown! Canyonero! (Yah!) Canyonero! [Krusty:] Hey Hey The Federal Highway comission has ruled the Canyonero unsafe for highway or city driving. Canyonero! 12 yards long, 2 lanes wide, 65 tons of American Pride! Canyonero! Canyonero! Top of the line in utility sports, Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts! Canyonero! Canyonero! (Yah!) She blinds everybody with her super high beams, She's a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine! Canyonero!-oh woah, Canyonero! (Yah!) Drive Canyonero! Woah Canyonero! Woah!
