There's another thing somewhat like this north of I-10 around...Kirkwood? Dairy Ashford? I forget which street exactly but north of I-10 a bit and west of the Beltway. Edit: Ah okay, really different but still anyone know what this dome thing is? -
Hope you've seen them in person. They blow the pictures away. Really not something to be missed imho.

Really?? I rode my bike through DG like a week ago. I guess they just weren't lit, because riding my bike down that very path is a lot of fun.

They were gone before Christmas, sadly.

Use his camera to take a picture of his computer screen? Seems a little tedious!

There's an unadvertised observation deck in the Bank of America building. Just ride to the highest floor you can reach from the lobby. It faces Allen Parkway and Sabine Street.

Deceptive, because there is empty space between these faux plywood walls and the actual glass storefronts. -

I guess I still don't understand what was wrong with continuing to call it UHD.

I will not tolerate it, I will be burning the bridge down once I am on the other side of it.

So when you say you admire their intentions, you admire their intention to do what, exactly? Name it the Bill White Bridge. I love that guy. Put a quote on a placard. "You need to move these $*&@ing trucks!" -Bill White, during Hurricane Ike

Its a horrible name. Nobody has ever thought to himself "Well, I was going to be intolerant of this person...but there is a Tolerance Bridge over the Buffalo Bayou, so I have decided to show some tolerance." You can't encourage an ideal by naming a bridge after the ideal. Now a 7 million dollar community center where people can congregate, that might help foster some tolerance.

I can think of three Starbucks already on the surface level off the top of my head. Then there's that Muggs at Houston Pavilions, coffeeshops in the various hotels, Notsuoh... Other than that it would seem that coffeeshops can't survive on surface level in downtown. Now everyone hold up your lighters and shed a tear for Kaveh Kanes. Kaveh Kanes, you died too young. We hardly knew ye, smothered in the womb.

Weingarten will probably tear down the River Oaks theater and put a third Starbucks on that corner. Yes, this is the famed corner with two Starbucks, yet no room for a historic movie theater.

Its a good burger...and the sweet potato fries are tasty. But boy do they drill you. Burger, fries, and iced tea is $12+. I know I'm not eating at McDonald's, but come on.
