  1. Latest detail from the City of Houston. So it looks like San Jacinto will be a tunnel with some sort of ramps that traverse to the west side of the road and go to I-10.
  2. It's shocking HAIF has no idea what's going on here lol
  3. The only thing I can think of are underpasses to bypass the train track.
  4. Was going through a PDF link someone posted in the I-45 thread and I came across this from Plan Downtown: There is a black dotted line for subway running under Houston Ave and then running under Fannin. I realize this is from late 2017 but still very interesting for anyone to even include this. https://www.downtownhouston.org/media/uploads/attachments/2017-11-02/Plan_Downtown_Report_FINAL_Spreads_sm.pdf
  5. Oh cool, where did you find this? Link please? I attended the meeting for this but I don't believe I've seen this one.
  6. I thought it was the other way around. They want to keep the railroad at your red X and remove the railroad on your blue line.
  7. Oh cool, I'll have to try the Westheimer exit. haha I've been avoiding this area because of it.
  8. They opened the new Chimney Rock exit on I-69. Drove it tonight... gotta say, I liked it that it bypasses all the oncoming traffic from 610, but it is not smooth at all. Bunch of random "hills" in the roads particularly under the 610 mainlanes... here's to hoping it's not the finished product. Edit: Picture from TXDOT
  9. Would be really cool if Houston could build something similar to San Antonio's Pearl District somewhere on the East End. Seems like the perfect vibe for it. Feels like we don't really have any grand farmer market type areas established and San Antonio's is absolutely massive with many tents and offerings. At first this project kind of reminded me of it but I am not so sure anymore.
  10. So this rendering does not include what will become of the Kroger property, right?
  11. Even better! Thank you very much
  12. Man, honestly don't know what to make of the no biking sign in DG... I love riding my bike through there, as long as there aren't a lot of people.
  13. Copied the images before we lose them:
  14. Right, I saw his images are missing. And the link there doesn't really provide anything anymore. Oh well, thanks though.
  15. Does anyone know how this is supposed to look (schematics) ?
  16. No, the trees to the left are Discovery Green and One Park Place is to the right. This other development (parks, retail, etc.) would be in the upper right corner which we can barely see from this perspective. But I clearly can imagine there has to be some render of the master plan out there now, the way they are talking.
  17. I wonder if we are in the midst of a mild building boom because all these developers are taking advantage of the massive stimulus injection due to Covid... as in, lower interest rates in financing these types of projects.
  18. If we are going to have all these major developments along Westheimer, then it seems clear to me that Westheimer is clearly due for reconstruction now. The road is in horrible shape.
  19. Totally. Either way, glad after all these years to finally get the entire area around Discovery Green surrounded by development!
