I was being a moron when I took this picture.
But, I figured I'd update nonetheless.

I'd say that they cut them down.

Sorry for the image quality but I can't believe they removed the trees! They looked so good along the rail.

Right? I was thinking soon meant a few minutes or hours later. Guess not.Has there not been a decision yet? I was under the assumption that there would be a decision today.

Did somebody post the location that Micro Center is moving to already?
If not, they are currently looking to relocate to a brand new building across from Sam's Club at S Rice Ave and close to Westpark Dr. (Building doesn't exist yet, if that wasn't clear). There will be an announcement if that is the property actually bought.
Looks like the source was right.
the new amegy bank building should be well received on here - it will easily be the most attractive building directly on the loop.
This is when we bring out the champagne bottles.

Yup. Maybe it will start tomorrow.I walked by there myself today. Whole lotta nuthin' going on.
The only thing I saw in the area was that they were still doing soil testing on the other lot with the 39 story residential tower on it, but now on the northern portion of the lot.

Trial is now over. Judge "expected to rule soon"
This is on tv?

Didn't Houston Chron say construction was to begin today? I checked Oxblue and it looks like nothing is going on. I'll swing by there during my lunch break and check it out real quick.

I would say there has been surprises, but the only think for sure is Brookfield doesn't play the houston market well. And it might be for the best... I don't want that lot to be wasted. Something very very cool can go there
You may actually be surprised with Brookfield. They're currently planning on what to do with the remaining Allen Centers. Last I heard (which was fairly recent), they are still wanting to completely renovate One Allen Center just like what will happen after Exxon completely leaves their building for the campus. Now, I admittedly voted "no" for Five Allen Center but we may be surprised by Brookfield.
