  1. The first ten floors above ground are parking, as are two below. Three more levels and the building should begin to head up a bit faster.
  2. Brief notice recently released by METRO regarding three buildings to be demolished on the Terminal site. http://www.metrosolutions.org/posted/1068/...0509.253022.pdf
  3. Since this thread hasn't been updated since the end of '07... this one is under construction and there is yet another a cluster of cranes at the site. Looks like more since it is being built adjacent to Methodist's site, so there are about 6 cranes total right around that corner. At this point, they've just begun on the first floor of what I'm guessing will be the hospital.
  4. A couple of photos from yesterday overlooking the Maternity Center site. A third tower crane was being installed on the southwest side of the site.
  5. Nope, this is the condo project. The construction site has a Gaylord address (office project has one along Memorial City Way) and apparently things have changed since the first signs went up. According to the marketing website, it should be 11 stories total: 6 of residences & 5 of parking. http://www.memorialcityliving.com/location.htm I thought it was supposed to be closer to I-10 based on where the original signs and the first work on the site was done ages ago, but that may have been wrong... or they just decided to build closer to Cemex's building.
  6. This one's gone up pretty quick, and here are a couple of photos from last week.
  7. Was at the park earlier today and caught that! Here's a couple of shots...
  8. Perhaps this bird? http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/stories...ry1.html?page=2 Aside from that, didn't the owners of the complex refinance the property within the past month or so?
  9. Not sure how recent it is, but NewQuest has a small brochure on leasing opportunites on the ground level. Page 3 has the layout. http://docs.newquest.com/brochures/onepark.pdf
  10. Based on the webcam date, I took this photo later that same week. Might have to check into getting a shot from the same spot over the weekend to see if anything's different.
  11. There's a ceremonial tree to signify "topping out" of the primary structure on the western corner of the current highest point. However, that's not to say more won't be added to the top of the building. For example, Cemex's building around Memorial City was designed with a unique top, and had a tree raised to the top of the structure back in August. Over several months time, they did work on outfitting the inside and outside of the building and didn't start on completing the wavy rooftop until the end of December. They're still not finished with that, and that's a much smaller building.
  12. Ok, so maybe they'll be around for a while, save some closures... http://houston.bizjournals.com/houston/sto...02/daily38.html
  13. US: Greatest Love Of All - Whitney Houston UK: The Chicken Song - Spitting Image AUS: Chain Reaction - Diana Ross Two Ladies and some puppets, nice! I'm pretty certain I've never heard any of the songs.
  14. A few photos from Monday... The underground garage is now completely covered by what will be the plaza/driveway.
  15. Or, wait long enough and someone writes about it. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/busine...ff/6227973.html
  16. I was answering AstrosFreak's question. That's why my post killed two birds with one stone.
  17. Here ya go: The Energy Center And since I don't want to add another post, here's a fairly recent construction photo of the thread topic. I think the hotel is topped out and the office building is pretty close.
  18. And yet, it's 8 feet taller? At least it's now only 10 feet shy of the 500' mark, if it matters. 482' bumped to 490' or thereabouts.
  19. That does, actually! I was kinda curious since there was no "Coming Soon" or developer's signage in front of the site. The permits at the gate weren't all that helpful either since they had the bare minimum of the contractor's address and some other data.
  20. Brookfield updated the site within the past few months. Originally, that small stub was entitled "Gateway Tract/Site" or something to that effect and only mentioned some general points about the location. A Business Journal article from last year briefly mentioned the more specific data now on the site and apparently it's been updated to show those few nuggets provided. The original "Gateway" thread can be found here: http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/i...showtopic=11441
  21. That was quick! I only uploaded it the day before. I recall seeing some lengthy legal spiel-esque piece from KHOU (early 90s) like what KTRK does nightly these days, so I'll upload that when I find it.
