  1. I scoffed at the idea of bringing Manning here. Who would have thought he would recover so well from major neck surgery? This time last year he couldn't throw a ball 5 ft. Also, I expected much better from Shaub. I should have consulted my crystal ball.
  2. Shaub is not even in the top 20 after today's debacle. Any of the top 4 rookie QB's (Luck, RG3, Tannehill, or Wilson) are way better, and will continue to improve while Shaub continues his downward spiral. The Texans have no future with Shaub. Hopefully they will realize it.
  3. I agree. This was the year he was supposed to prove he is an "elite" QB but he hasn't done so. Good QB's find ways to win.
  4. They just keep getting worse instead of better. Not looking like they will make it through the first round of the play-offs. Can Shaub play any worse?
  5. You right of course. I had a senior moment.
  6. Was not aware of that. One thing for sure it's a cut-throat world in local tv news.
  7. It was the tritter feed that got him fired. He was understandably unhappy with someone that wasn't a real meteorologist taking over his prime time spots. But it's always about ratings and what Dave Ward wants.
  8. Isn't the world ending in a couple weeks anyway?
  9. I'm with you.Only went there once but wife and I both though it was bland.
  10. I've always wanted to go there. Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit.

I saw the train on Monday in Hearne while returning from Fort Worth. Almost stopped to see what it was all about. Wish I had now.
  12. I don't know how you have survived this long.
  13. It was at Bissonnet and First by what is now Charlies BBQ. Not much left of the old building now that the surgery center has taken over most of the area.
  14. I want to say 72 but my mind was kind of foggy those days.
  15. I hope we run all over the Jets on Monday Night Football. Maybe we will finally get recognized nationally as one hell of a good football team.
  16. Actually they were at the Music Hall in 69 and at Hofheinz in 70. Then at the Coliseum in 71. Saw all three. Totally awesome.
  17. In the early days Foley's was probably their biggest competition. They had a great sporting goods department. Bought my first Hobie surfboard from Foley's in the late 60's. Worked there part time while in high school and used my employee discount.
  18. And the Texans ranked second in the league in running last year so Dolphins defense or not they should have had a better showing. There were way to many third and one's they failed to convert.
  19. I'm a little concerned about the running game and special team play, but every thing else is clicking. Holliday looked great in pre-season but sure stunk yesterday.
