  1. Oh, you haven't seen the new/updated ones yet? I was visiting a buddy in the area when I saw this sign in a yard. It "accidentally" blew over and found its way to my garage where it now sits for my amusement.
  2. I walked through here the other day as well. Really liked the throne they made. It has a great view.
  3. Yes, this was off Jensen and Bayou Parkview Dr., roughly across from McAlpine. Very odd that it is not there. Looking at the photo, there is some data loss for sure. The proposed Land Use on the sign says "to create two reserves." Sign is definitely odd.
  4. Thursday through Sunday nights, yes. Or you could bike. Or take the train. Or walk. But we know what 95%+ of this city prefers to do.
  5. Cars here around 9 pm and the gates are all locked up, so I guess it is overnight.
  6. It is quite steep, and as you pointed out there is an underground culvert next to it, plus a manhole cover at the top, so I'm guessing drainage is through the culvert. We should ask whoever left the bucket there.
  7. One of the lots (and lumber storage zones) by St. Charles and Garrow has been used as what looks to be a long-term parking lot for a little while now. I don't know how to describe it, but cars go in, get parked, stay for a few hours or overnight, and then leave. Quite a few cars too. Curiously, I have not seen a human "working" there. Address for the lot is roughly 207 St. Charles St.
  8. Forth has been complete for some time now. Interesting that it's shown as an ongoing project. Maybe this means they will eventually move to the originally planned phase 2 remodel of Alamo Tamales and the building hosting the Maritime Museum.
  9. You're probably right and I should have been more specific as I meant "next phase of the build" as opposed to "next phase of the project." My bad.
  10. Truckloads of lumber are being deposited on site. The whole yard is practically full. I guess we are about to start the next phase.
  11. I don't know if the carwash is still happening, but we're bulldozing today. Sorry about the pic quality, was driving.
  12. They were closed for three years. Surely, you can understand blocking off your place if you're gonna be gone for three years. That said, while I don't think they were necessary even three years ago, you gotta imagine the family runs things at a pretty casual pace, given how reticent they were to reopening and all. Let's see what, if anything, the new ownership will do now that they have reopened before jumping to any conclusions.
  13. I considered asking if JClark's post was sarcasm before posting a list too, ..
  14. As a customs/shipping attorney officing nearby, I cannot agree more. Centralized base for all!
  15. Does anyone else feel like they die a little on the inside when they read the term vibe dining? (I know it's not your fault, you are just repeating the term created to describe this kind of stuff).
  16. I personally am in favor of closing main completely to car traffic and opening it to restaurant/walking/light rail traffic, so yes. I do hope the policy stays in place for now.
  17. Interesting that they have a Navigation address, but are the Canal-side suite. I know the building has the Navigation address, which is why this place does, but I'm sure it won't create any confusion.
  18. That would be a very bold move for both Midway and said retailer to try that. Not sure the two fit, but hey... let's see!
