  1. I wonder how much of that is affected by all the construction. Haven't flown internationally out of IAH since April, but my understanding is tremendous progress has been made on Terminal D in that time. I have flights out of there next week and in mid September. Look forward to seeing just how much/how quick that work is being done.
  2. Almost certainly part of a bike lane. There was one on the road before.
  3. Their problem was definitely more "switching concepts three times," and not the neighborhood, I feel.
  4. It could be Cafe Louie's space they are moving into, but I suspect it's How to Survive. I think it changed ownership and focus recently and has gone way downhill. Think "wine with chicken wings" (not a joke).
  5. I mean...it's a 20 min walk from Concept Neighborhood to Little Woodrow's per Google. That's not bad even for Houston standards (except peak summer, obviously).
  6. Would love to see a flight to Luanda. Heard great things about it and I have some clients there...
  7. Looks great, imo. But also, already posted and discussed on another thread, here: https://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/30527-guadalupe-plaza-park-at-2311-runnels-st/
  8. For sure. I wouldn't be surprised if they were just stretched thin. They opened two restaurants (Grill and Seafood) around the same time.
  9. Just beat me to it! Per the board, project kicks off next week with an anticipated completion date of February 2023, which I presume means February 2024.
  10. Love it. Live right by it and if it looks like that, it will be beautiful. I ran into some folks from the city that were at the park to look at it "for a future art installation." Didn't expect this. That said, if this does get solar panels, I guess it explains why they removed quite a few from the Esplanade. This should generate more than enough. Now, whether this will just become a giant umbrella for the local homeless community or not...we will see.
  11. Cidercade is the name of the place. $20 all you can play arcade. 2320 Canal.
  12. Was there tonight too. Agreed completely. Held my tounge earlier cause I actually know a few of the vendors and didn't wanna seem biased, but, yeah...
  13. Ah, gotcha, I see what you mean on the third floor. Yes. Perhaps it's just for balconies on the residential units?
  14. I think it may be some optical illusion (possibly caused by a wide angle lens?). The project appears to be straight-on along Runnels in person.
  15. They have been fixing the road periodically but most of those fixes only last a few months because yes, Jenson is an absolute disaster right now. No idea who is paying for those repairs though.
  16. Dominos in walking distance is gonna be trouble for me.
  17. Night Shift ended due to a dispute between management and talent, so it wasn't an issue of lack of business.
  18. Now that is the boat launch (based on what the one right next to Guadalupe Park looks like).
  19. Due to overwhelming interest in this paved feature, I suggest a naming contest. I'll start: Ditchy McDitchWitch
  20. My wife used to have this thing where she always carried those prepacked snack sized bags of baby carrots with her (don't ask). I remember when we were still students at UH she would offer them to the regulars. The looks on their faces were always priceless. Never understood why no one accepted the baby carrots.
  21. That would be quite bold seeing as the location is currently completely empty.
