  1. Looks like 19 of 120 homes will be sold below market rate, and initial agreements are for completion before December 2020. Seems far fetched on both accounts, but if 83% are going to be sold at market value I'm excited for this development. This is from last year. I'm curious what, if anything, has changed for this agreement:
  2. @IronTiger I'm moreso just looking for historic photos of things nearby to have and frame as a memorial to the neighborhood. Old stores along harrisburg/navigation, lady of guadalupe church, parks, etc. Not sure where to look - any suggestions? Thanks!
  3. My house was built in 1930 (East End/Second Ward) and I'm trying to find historic photos of either the home or the close-by neighborhood. Could anyone help direct me where to look?
  4. Not sure about the parking lot, but both properties are owned by the Platform Group, so I assume it will be part of the process. Here's an update on the bar, expected opening is Spring 2020: https://houston.eater.com/2019/7/24/20708422/night-shift-east-end-opening-2020-mias-table-expansion-cypress-oporto-cafe-closing
  5. Probably should include that in the title. Though I'm not forum savvy enough to know how to do that. Looks like they're only taking up a portion of it. With multiple additional companies taking up the rest.
  6. @Luminare, you beat me to my edit. After some googling, it seems that TXRX is moving to 6501 Navigation to renovate a larger existing structure for the Makers Hub. Wish they were staying at Roberts as it's right in my neighborhood.
  7. https://www.bisnow.com/houston/news/economic-development/east-end-maker-space-taps-in-opportunity-zone-for-mayors-complete-communities-initiative-101858?utm_source=outbound_pub_4&utm_campaign=outbound_issue_33886&utm_content=outbound_link_1&utm_medium=email Interesting article about new developments for TXRX "East End Makers Hub" and "The Center for Pursuit". Looks like East End Makers Hub will be at 6501 Navigation and Center for Pursuit at 4400 Harrisburg.
  8. Lovett Commercial changed the brochure from retail to a 610-unit multifamily building surrounded by a chic-fil-a and a 7/11. Some plots are now left empty, some are marked "future development".
  9. Stumbled upon this by mistake when trying to look up my own HCAD account, but it looks like someone snuck in and purchased the Rex Supply Building earlier this year: Westgreen Blue Willow, Ltd. HCAD mailing address maps back to the corporate office of Lovett Commercial (1520 Oliver St. HTX)
  10. I drive by here all the time. Always workers but seems like not a lot of work is being done strangely enough. Curious to see what this becomes.
  11. I'm surprised Midway isn't taking action to mitigate the developments directly surrounding it's multi-million dollar, multiple decade investment. This seems counter-productive to what they're trying to achieve in this area, no?
  12. What are these projects proposed to do, specifically? How can we get involved? Thanks!
  13. Looks like they've started debris removal. The separate thread for Polk District (Frankel's building) shows lots of construction happening in the interior of the building that formerly housed Frankel's. The commercial brochure still very clearly shows SPROUTS planned onsite. Hoping that comes to fruition. Haven't seen any concrete evidence to clarify either way.
  14. Also, apparently Lovett Homes/Frank Liu are going to make these afforable housing and sell them back to the city for 150k. Anyone else heard word on this? Seems to take the property value in the wrong direction for this neighborhood. https://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2018/09/07/developer-frank-liu-planning-market-rate.html
  15. Could you tell me where to find these minutes? I'm curious about the future of this development. Thanks!
  16. Interesting, I can't seem to find /straylight_htx, only their mobile page. That's great info though. Thank you!
  17. Looks like they deleted their original instagram and FB pages. Any idea if this plan for the Nav location fell through and went mobile instead?
  18. I’ve noticed some activity here - tractors, garbage bins, etc. fingers crossed this is the start of something
  19. Interesting. Can't seem to find any more info on this "Night Shift" idea from Logan Beck.
